Outstanding gîte in the village of Combles. It's located next to the house where the owners live, very spacious and fully equipped with everything you need. Actually, we were suprised by the size and comfort provided. The contact with the owners was also very relaxed and friendly. We felt welcomed, since our kid was allowed to play with their kids and use some of the toys in the garden. Since we were only on a stopover I can't say anything about the location as a base for activities in the region, but it seemed nice and we would like to come back for a weekend or so.

The property was perfect. The outside garden and internally everything was new and we could recommend the property to anyone. We would give the property 6 stars if we could. The property owners were courteous, helpful and responded to our questions promptly. We will be back.

Lovely house with a nice garden and outside dining area. Had everything you need and very spacious, clean and well maintained. Location was perfect for visiting the war memorials. Would defiantley recommend a stay here.

We are travelling with a dog, the ladies on reception were very welcoming of him and, much to his delight, had biscuits for him! The location is great and the room is very comfortable. The restaurant was offering basic food because it was a Sunday evening but it was still very good.

    Guillemont Halt is a very comfy and spacious house, nicely located in a small village right in the middle of the "Haute Somme". Ideal for visiting the WW1 battlefields, monuments and graveyards, There is a huge choice of books and DVDs (in English) dedicated to the topic available in the house, and John has a wealth of information he's ready to share as well. John and Claire are the most lovely hosts. Warmly recommended!
