Hardelot has limited restaurants and other amenities being predominantly residential but simple fare can be found meeting a modest standard. We went for the "Opale Harley Days" festival, and did not spend much time on the beach, but we did watch the sun set over the sea which was beautiful. It was obviously very busy when we went but we could still see that it was a lovely resort, with a number of good restaurants and bars. The area is very clean and the roads very good with wide pavements and cycle lanes. There are some beautiful and interesting houses, some with curving thatched roofs, circular chimneys and unusual steep triangular shapes.
