The countryside was superb and whilst the lanes were narrow, the GPS found the hôtel easily. The parking area was spacious, and other residents friendly and of all nationalités. The property is set in its own grounds in a rural area a little off the beaten track. The room was small but equipped with a comfortable bed, tea/coffee making facilities and a private bathroom with shower over bath, wc and toiletries. The room was quiet and the optional breakfast provided everything you could need for the day ahead. Evening meal, again optional, was good food with ample choices and pretty good value for money. It is near the town of Sees which is charming, and good for a last stop before catching the ferry from Caen. The restaurant was good, quite smart and prpbably recently redecorated, and the food was good, though they made us chose our dessert at the same time as our started and main course, and I would have prefered to wait and see what I had room for. All the staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient. The hotel was peaceful, perfect for a stop on the way south and we found it easily with our satnav.
