This place was amazing, the attention to detail by Colin & Shane was on point!! Super value for money, as not only was the room beautiful with a gorgeous view, the breakfast was lovely too!

We had a wonderful stay, at Charmante Maison. This place is amazing, with the right combination of location – a cute typical French village – a view – with the valley and the medieval church – and all the comfort we could dream of – 12 beds, swimming pool, large living room, terrace, any equipment, and even leisure such as table football and table tennis. The attention to detail and cleanliness throughout was exceptional. Also, Sandrine and Alban have been helpful and charming. Highly recommend this as somewhere to stay!

We lack words to describe the great experience we enjoyed staying @ The Cool Lounge. Everything from arrival to departure was one smooth and delightful process. The rooms are tastefully decorated. The house itself has been renovated into the smallest details. Corinne and Arnaud welcomed us warmhearted and with genuine friendliness. We took the option of the dinner (table d'hote) which was an excellent choice. We would strongly recommend.

Location & property size were perfect for my stay. It was a relaxing holiday in a quiet French village. The hosts, Natalie & Tony, made me very welcome & even shared an evening apero with me, which was lovely. There were lots of minor roads & tracks available for me to run/walk/cycle with my dog, Willow. Virtually traffic-free for most of my outings, which was great. The gite was perfect, with 2 bedrooms & an open-plan living area. My first impression was that it seemed larger & nicer than the booking.com photos on the site. The pool is 1.5m deep with a children's shallow pool to one side, making it ideal for travellers with a young family. Supermarkets, fuel & restaurants are a 7-minute drive away, which is ideal. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my 2-week stay here. I would definitely stay there again in the future & would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the area.

Absolutely fabulous. Loved it. Buitiful home made products for breakfast. Really friendly welcome from lovely hosts. We didn't go out for an evening meal as we ate our own food at thier table. Even sat with them and watch France v Wales in the rugby (shame we were hammered). Will stay again when we are in the area😀😀😀

    Unfortunately, I would not choose to stay here again.

    Unfortunately, I would not choose to stay here again. Hotel is in beautiful setting and just needs some money spent on decorating the outside and brightening the interior and doing up the beautiful gardens. A bonus here is car parking. The rooms are on the small side but clean. Mattresses in ours bevelled need changing. Unfortunately river view you can’t sleep with the doors open and shutter for security reason and so was stifling hot this is only May. Dinner to sit on terrace was lovely but my tagine was watery just carrots and orange slices as the base and pan fried fish on top. No body to it. Fish was lovely. My husbands steak was fatty and full of gristle. Very disappointing for us. In hotels ourselves, this could be a gold mine.

    We loved our visit to Mansle , there are many lovely walks whether around the historic streets or a more rural walk , it was very quiet and we felt extremely safe. There are a few quant bars and cafe's and also a couple of decent restaurants.

    It was our first time in the Charente area.

    It was our first time in the Charente area. We had no expectations. We were very pleasantly surprised. The accommodation package was outstanding. We discovered the beautiful, quiet and picturesque area by three days biking in and around the local villages and a day exploring the Charente river in a Canadian canoe we rented. The only two local restaurants were great value with good choices. We had such a great time that we stayed an extra night.

    No12 is a beautiful place to stay in the lovely village of Mansle. The rooms have been beautifully renovated, we loved the art throughout and Colin & Shane were fantastic hosts. Breakfast was delicious, there is also a wealth of homegrown fruits and vegetables in the gardens. The room was very comfortable with the added extras that make your stay just that little bit more relaxing

    A beautiful hotel with beautiful gardens overlooking the very pretty Charente river. Good size room, excellent shower. Very comfortable bed. The dining room was very tasteful. We really enjoyed our evening meal on the terrace overlooking the garden and river. The food was delicious. The staff were all very pleasant, friendly and helpful.

    We came across this hotel by chance and the website said it was 2 star but on arrival and during the stay it felt more like 4 star. The dinner and breakfast were amazing and the room was fabulous. We had a quadruple room on two floors. The gardens by the river were gorgeous. It massively exceeded our expectations.

    I've used this hotel a few times now when travelling, its a good location, and very convenient for my needs travel back to a port for the UK, food is good and a few other restaurant's nearby, river view is the best.

    Located in central Mansle and only five minutes off the N10, location when travelling north/south is hard to beat. Breakfast taken on the terrace was of exceptional quality and quantity.
