Superb! 5 star apartment! Johnny (the owner) prepared his apartment like a hotel, even better than some hotels. Immaculate and and spotless with everything you would expect in a hotel. Glad we booked instead of the more pricier hotels in the area. We were welcomed and everything was explained to us in detail.     Montrichard is well located for visiting the surrounding area and the chateaux, The town had all that was needed and was a typical French town with plenty of cafes. Everyone we encountered were friendly and helpful. It is only a 5 minute walk into town so no need to take the car. There is a great local market on a Monday and Friday.

    A pretty medieval town, with plenty of shops and restaurants...

    A pretty medieval town, with plenty of shops and restaurants. The river Cher runs through the town and there's a river beach with facilities. We would recommend La Creperie du Donjon for delicious food and friendly service, as well as La Fabrique Trattoria for amazing Italian food and staff who speak excellent English.

    Great location. Had a few technical glitches with the WiFi on arrival but fortunately we were able to sort that out with a little help from the host. The property was very well equipped and had loads of charm and character. It was very comfortable and we loved our stay there. Montrichard was very central to most things in the Loire Valley

    Our welcome by Angie when we arrived was fantastic, she and Emily have completely renovated the building and we're so excited to share it with their guests. I can't praise them highly enough. The breakfast was varied and plentiful. If you are close by, you must book this Chambre d'hote. Montrichard is a fabulous town to explore too.

    It's located in the old hotel building turned into the apartments. Feels and looks a bit creepy like an abandoned hotel from '70s, but fun especially if you like games like "The Last of Us". Also, getting into the apartment was like a quest. Overall we liked it as an intermediate stay on our trip through Laura river castles.

    We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights, having stayed there last year. We were travelling by bicycle and there is a very safe place for bike storage. The hotel overlooks the river and 'beach' and is close enough to the town centre for shops etc.
