Excellent all round. Very warm welcome. Sara is very enthusiastic and proud of the property and rightly so. Fully equipped kitchen with supplies of necessary items : coffee,tea etc to tide you over to the first shop. Very comfortable beds in tastefully decorated rooms. Lots of living space with TV wifi board games... essential for when the weather is dreadful! Shame we couldn't use the balcony on account of the rain. Centrally located for visiting the Sancy and the Chaine des Volcans. Supermarket close by.

Breakfast on a tray without giving us a knife fork or spoon to eat it with. Told to arrive between 5-7. We arrived 5,20, no one to greet us until half an later. We had moved a table into the shade to try and keep cool, and when grumpy hostess arrived, no apology, merely an order to put the table back to where it was at once. Not told that the Tour de France was coming along the road next day, and that the road would be closed all day, so we had to move our car in the evening to avoid being trapped all day. Altogether a throughly unhappy stay.

Beautiful 19th century spa town hotel, with its own spa. Moderate sized room with a nice (if not large) bathroom. The views of the surrounding mountains are beautiful and the beds very comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, especially the manageress, who speaks good English. There is also a large, quiet garden, with plenty of furniture, and lovely views.

The hotel were very helpful. Helped with the bags, and then directed us to the ski hire just round the corner, where we were able to get seen right away the evening before we started skiing. Excellent breakfast!

Really great place. This is right at the bottom of a tracking route up to the "Puy de Sancy." Very close to the cosy village Mont-Dore. We had dinner twice and breakfast too, and it met/exceeded expectations. Big bonus for having a charging point for EV's right in front! I would come again.

A village situated at an altitude of over 1000 meters, facing southwest. It is served by several supermarkets, provided you have a car. Hiking and fishing (small pond) are possible. The natural environment is not yet too spoiled by construction.

A superb little village; we enjoyed the mountain views,...

A superb little village; we enjoyed the mountain views, Toinette's house (now a museum), Julien's barn, and the village's beautiful floral displays. Murat is very close to La Bourboule, and hiking trails are easily accessible from the gîte. Our only regret was the weather!
