Everything was absolutely great. Lots of activities inside the facility, very well-located property and the staff is always there for you. Breakfast above expectations but still, I would suggest adding some vegetables. Definitively, we'll come back for another pleasant experience.

The property had everything we needed and more: soundproofing, large nicely decorated room, private parking space right at the door, so many useful accessories in the room! The administrator is friendly and gave us valuable information about the stay. We loved the breakfast and as a bonus you have the Gois passage low tide calendar on the wall, in the breakfast room. The property is 10 min on foot from the nearest beach and 10 min from the town center. One can also go on a picturesque shore hike to la plage du Vieil. Highly recommend!

We went mainly for the La Bonnotte potato festival, which was good fun, and the potatoes are indeed delicious. But as the island is almost completely flat (fabulous for cycling) we hadn't expected a beautiful coastline and beaches. And although it was beautiful weather the beaches were almost deserted. Let's hope it remains relatively undiscovered.

Beautiful holiday island with amazing beaches and swimming. Cycle-friendly and lots of eateries especially oysters and mussels. Lots of places to visit if beaches are not enough ie, salt marshes, castles, crazy golf, escape rooms, antique shops and galleries.

Being selfish, I do not want to recommend Noirmoutier-en-l'Ile to others! The locals were unusually welcoming (a change from the South), the views around the island were panoramic and the food and drink left nothing to be desired. The island was free of litter and the pride which the locals take in it was obvious. It felt very secure. With a large dog a car was necessary, otherwise, everyone appeared to swap their cars for bicycles which were in plentiful supply on their arrival. The land being mostly flat, bicycling was the way to go for the young and old.

The stay at this hotel was all we expected and more, the room was spacious and clean with all the amenities that we have come to expect, we had clean towels after the first day, unheard of in some. The staff were extremely helpful in every way possible and the food was absolutely gorgeous, the new chef was a master of his craft. The swimming pool was at a perfect temperature and spotlessly clean with great changing facilities. All in all we loved our stay at the Hotel St Paul and we will be returning soon. Thank you all for making our stay perfect.

My husband and I visited in 2020 and 2025, and each time we agree that this island is a wonderful place to live. The beaches, the pedestrianized town center, and the walks make for a pleasant stay.

A large island with numerous small towns and beaches.

A large island with numerous small towns and beaches. Relatively quiet and relaxing. However, there aren't too many sights to see. The highlight is, of course, arriving or departing at low tide via the Passage du Gois.

Great location to access restaurants, shops, salt beds (Hippobus tour) & the chateau (directly opposite the hotel). Good access along pedestrian/ cycle path to the nearest beach (Plage des Sableaux)- very much a cycle friendly area. Pool and terrace area is clean and there is a small bar area- it is a welcome addition to the central courtyard area- rooms look out onto the pool. The pool is enclosed by glass 'fencing' and only accessed via 'kid lock' gates.

To be awaken by the sound of waves crashing onto the sand every morning is really special. We were slightly concerned that we may be in a faraway, forgotten corner of the island, but it's actually really busy and lots of people are passing by the house on bikes and by foot every day. It's a lovely, well-equipped apartment in an incredible location. Noirmoutier has great restaurants and there's a Spa shop 2 minutes walk away with everything you need.

The owners Diane and Raph are fantastic and a delight to meet. The hostel was spotless and the location is ideal, just moments from where the bus will drop you off and right in the middle of all the action while remaining peaceful and quiet. I highly recommend this hostel and the sister hotel 'The Corner' which features a heavenly little garden and the most beautiful interior.
