The decoration of the house is amazing! Like living in the fairytale or indeed in a Wonderland:) The jacuzzi and sauna are very comfortable and nice, during the night you can enjoy the stars because there are no big cities around and during the day you can look at the green field and forest in front of the house. The surrounding area is great to have a walk or to run. And the owner is a very lovely lady who lives nearby and can help you with everything

We loved the interiors, such a beautifully done up little house! The shower was great! The house was super clean and tidy for us and the hosts were very helpful. Plus there was a space to leave our bikes. We had a lovely visit to the town and a great meal at the restaurant opposite. Would recommend.

Everything was amazing. The staff we interacted with spoke good English, we got an upgrade on our room, which was beautiful and very cozy. The spa was very nice and the breakfast was superb. Before we left we had a great massage. One of the most relaxing hotels I have ever visited. Can't recommend this place enough!

The hotelier was very pleasant & helpful. The hotel is up a very large hill and as we arrived by bike on a day when the hotel restaurant was closed, she drove us to a local restaurant and arranged a taxi for our return journey!

This was one of the most comfortable bed and breakfasts we hve ever been in. Decorated tastefully and highly functional. They thought of everything we may need including a bedtime storybook for our son. Extra points for having the fire going when we arrived in the evening, the easter chocolates, the nightlight, the delicious breakfast. The owners were warm, lovely and clearly have a love of hosting. We recommend wholeheartedly, and would love to come back another time.

    Pont D'Ouilly is a small village but has an excellent range...

    Pont D'Ouilly is a small village but has an excellent range of shops such as a boulangerie, boucherie/charcuterie, and a wholefood epicerie. In addition there is a small supermarche and if you're desperate, 2 automatic pizza dispensers! The restaurants weren't open when we there (February) but there are a good range which I presume are open later in the year. The boulangerie is outstanding and their range of patisseries is to die for. As we stayed in a gite, we cooked all our own meals. It is obviously a place where water activities take place but again, not in February. We took bikes and explored the many on and off-road opportunities in the area. There are so many small villages of interest in the nearby countryside.
