We had the room in the cave. 2 stories. Something truly unique for trying it once (there is higher humidity in such a cave as you can't get the air exchanged easily). Super helpful staff. Wonderful breakfast (local products). Nice restaurant nearby (recommended by the hotel's manager).

Very comfortable, cozy and freshly renovated place in an amazing touristique village of Turquant. It's made of traditional bricks just like the chateau de la Loire. It's just beside the Pomme Tappé Museum and Restaurant . Beds are very comfortable with very clean bedding. Perfect if you're with kids. My three kids loved it and slept there very well. Everything you need in the kitchen and a cable TV. Fantastic place for a weekend escape and walking around the caves. We had a fantastic stay and loved it. The hosts are very nice! The place is charming!

Friendly staff. Very good quality room with view of river overlooking the Loire. Good location. Close to one of the best restaurants in Saumur, Le Pot de Lapin. Lovely open space garden at back. Very welcoming to dogs, would not have used this hotel if not.

The chateau is beautiful, photos do not do it justice. It is more impressive in real life. The building, the staircase, the grounds, all are beautiful. The rooms are very spacious. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. An atmosphere of calm prevails throughout. Old beautiful with modern amenities such as a reliable lift and efficient air conditioning and we were there on some very hot days. The parking is secure behind a security gate right next to the chateau. You can have breakfast outside in the beautiful grounds which is a lovely start to the day. It is a 12 minute walk at a slow pace as it was so hot into the old town of Samaur which was also perfect. Very helpful and friendly staff.

the setting was stunning, in the middle of rural France. we were upgraded to a suite. we arrived by bike at a bank holiday weekend only to discover the restaurant was closed… when they realised our problem the staff prepared delicious assorted of fromages and charcuterie… PERFECT😃

    Such a unique and charismatic property, it’s an experience not just a hotel stay! The owners were incredibly friendly and helpful, the hotel had everything you needed and was set in such a quiet area, you really did get to relax set in lovely and peaceful surroundings. The pool was also a bonus and well worth a dip, and breakfast was ample with a good selection of food & drinks available, also very reasonably priced. complimentary half bottle of local wine was a lovely touch and the resident cat made our stay!

    A clean, comfortable beautiful property with an accommodating owner. Fabulous pool. Regional foods sourced locally for breakfast. Peaceful location, we slept really well. The hotel has a link to a troglodyte restaurant and a vineyard!.

    Unusual hotel with some of the rooms and the small pool being troglodyte. Our room was spacious and comfortable and had a terrace overlooking the garden. Good quality produce for breakfast.
