The weather wasn't great.
The weather wasn't great. It rained quite a lot and the temperature was up and down. In fact I got a bad cold. But Vence itself and Vence St Paul are beautiful places. Two Medieval towns very well preserved and a pleasure to explore on foot. Unfortunately, the museum was closed and this was a disappointment for me but I did enjoy my visits to the Matisse Chapel in Vence and the Fondation Maeght in Vence St Paul. Vence is a cute little historical town.

The house is absolutely lovely with masses of ‘hygge’ as we say in Denmark and it’s welcoming and comfortably decorated with a lovely relaxing ambiance. The pool is fab. Deep and cooling. Vence is under-rated when compared to its more illustrious neighbours Tourette’s and St Paul de Vence. But it is just as pretty and more interesting in what it offers. Just minutes away by car from the 2 nearby towns of Vence and Saint Paul de Vence which are beautiful. Also you can walk there By a short cut through the forest which is a lovely walk . Beatrice and Meer were so kind to me. The room and facilities were very comfortable and clean, A really lovely house and garden and a great place to relax by the pool in the afternoon and then go and explore in the evening. There’s a nice courtyard for chilling by the pool with everything you’d need on hand. Very friendly, welcoming and multilingual staff. Breakfast was superb with huge choice of food for a small place.
