What an excellent overnight stay. Just a shame we could not stay longer. Our lovely host was perfect and went out of her way to make sure we had a lovely stay. Her recommendation for an evening meal in Vertus was spot on. The breakfast in the morning was worth every penny, just because it included the best croissant I have ever had! In the morning, we took the optional tour of the winery. Was that a good experience? Of course it was!

Very quiet pricey place, bird farm. Beautiful views around. Very good location in Champagne - easy and quick access to all places in Champagne. Close to the most important vineyard landscapes. Well equipped house. Great hearty breakfast. We had a small room without a view, but it was suitable for a few nights. The hosts are friendly but do not speak English, and we did not speak French, so the communication was very short and emotional. In the evening, it is worth ordering an inexpensive dinner, especially if you like duck. Highly recommend, especially for a few days or a week.

Julie renovated her grand dad's house and a high spec yet traditional flat. It used to be where their vendageurs stayed. Outside looks like a simple typical house in the region. The car parking is large and gated. The stairs to the the flat (10 steps?) is a beautiful oak wood. Open plan kitchen and living room with two windows, very bright and airy. Separate bedroom with its own bright window overlooking Julie's vineyard, Walk-in shower, separate loo, all comfortable and a lot of space. Very well equipped kitchen, can live there for a week or more. walk 5 mins to the butcher/charcuterie or the boulangerie. And Julie's place has soul and personality, it's new but you can feel history. It's a very good place and I will come back again.

Small french Town with lots of history about champagne.

Small french Town with lots of history about champagne. Well manicured with gorgeous hanging baskets and a well guided walk through and around town that takes a leasurly hour. Sit and relax with the worlds best champagne in a restaurant or if you book in advance walk a very short distance to visit the best champagne houses for tasting. A great experience in itself!

The rooms are spacious and clean, the bathroom is beautiful, but unfortunately, there's no air conditioning. The hostess was absolutely terrible. Breakfast was poor, and everything was out of date. I've been trying to get an invoice for a month now. Such a shame; otherwise, everything would have been perfect.

We only stopped for the night in Vertus since our final...

We only stopped for the night in Vertus since our final destination was Epernay. We drove through the village the next day and found it to be very clean. We ate at the hotel itself and therefore did not look for another restaurant;

A small village well-situated in the Champagne region, with many Champagne houses nearby. Not too far from Epernay. There's little else to do in the village itself. Only two restaurants remain active.

Perfect welcome. Very comfortable bedding. Peaceful and quiet location. Swimming pool available with a beautiful garden. Breakfast matched the photos on the website with its wide variety of jams. A place to remember.

A small, charming town, wonderfully peaceful.

A small, charming town, wonderfully peaceful. There aren't many restaurants, but that's a choice if you choose this small village. The restaurant (near the hotel) was easily accessible on foot, which is a plus because it means you don't have to constantly drive and find a parking space.

Alexia and her team were extremely welcoming and personable. The breakfast was an amazing continental spread, served by friendly staff. The hotel has 2 rooms which are in a beautifully renovated section of the property, above the tasting room. I was in a large and very comfortable suite overlooking at the garden. There is off-road parking, and the hotel gates are closed every night. The private champagne tasting that I received as part of my booking was a sparkling bonus!

Location was great for travelling through the Champagne region. Lovely host on whom we could happily practice our French. Pool was gorgeous - our room opened out directly onto the garden/pool area, didn't want to leave! Short drive into Vertus for restaurants/bars but could also walk it

Perfect for a stopover in Champagne. Easy access, nice room, good breakfast and very convenient parking in the gated front yard. It's more like a great motell than a hotell which suits us perfectly.
