The hotel is a very cosy local business! We felt so welcome. The room was spotless, there were so many thoughtful little things about the place that made us feel at home. The restaurant is also excellent and is heaving with locals and tourist, really lovely to see. Can’t recommend enough! Oh, and the view was just wonderful.

First of all: The most friendliest, fun and caring staff works in this lovely hotel! James greeted us at arrival, and he made sure that I got a better chair in our oom! Breakfast and dinner is just delicious, and the overall service is excellent. We stayed in room 11. It was a lovely,  clean and spacious room for the 2 uf us. It is not a room with a wiev, but we didn't mind at all. We enjoyed the coffee, tea and bisquits provided to us every day in our room. The room had housekeeping every day which was very nice. So fun to have followed The Townhouse Hotel on Facebook for so long, and finally see and meet these lovely people who makes this place dynamic and fun. Will definately stay here again!

Everything!!!! Such an awesome location and property. Was so clean and well set out. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. The bathrooms were beautiful. The kitchen and open lounge room was excellent. Host was kind and helpful. We Loved it!

    Lots of things for kids to do.

    Lots of things for kids to do. Travelled with my 4 year old and he had a great time. Good choice of supermarkets for self catering. Decent options for eating out also. Lots of nice places to walk and the town centre has a few good shops (especially Charity shops which I love a rummage in)

    Yes we were very happy to see the park with all the facilities( a swing for a wheelchair user). What a great idea! A paddling pool and everything a child would love to play on. It's such a shame about the miniature railway my husband visited Arbroath as a child and said it was such a shame it wasn't running anymore! It was a great walk along the front and it came to mind how good it was for the elderly and it disabled. The weather was good to us so it was perfect.

    Good free parking facilities. Good public transport. Pub food was generally expensive Restaurants were lovely and good quality food and prices. Local entertainment was lacking i.e. cinema, bingo, theatre. Great for coastal walks and wildlife. Local residents were very helpful and friendly.

    Very difficult to get round Arbroath due to the extensive roadworks.No right turns,one way streets,roads closed.A nightmare for visitors. Marcos ice cream shop at the harbour worth a visit.But n Ben restaurant worth a visit.Not many popular coffee shops.

    Amazing scenery. Auchmithie and lunan bay beaches nearby. Cliffs and harbour. West links. Smokies and fish delicious. Great place for walking. Just love it and have been going there on holiday since I was a child

    Nice fishing town with an active colourful harbour and great cliff walks just out of town. We weren't really there for a holiday and it was very much the off-season but there are a few other attractions both in the town and nearby which would be good in the summer.

    it was very quiet and got a very peaceful nights sleep - the owners were wonderfully accommodating and rooms had everything you would expect from a high profile hotel. fridge in room had cold water, juice and milk and there was also complimentary drinks available in the lounge area. breakfast was also very nice and very good value an added extra was the availability of DVD player and choice of DVDs in reception - however unfortunately we did not get a chance to make the most of this as it was a busy visit to Arbroath
