This was a great spot to stay in the Yorkshire Dales. The property is well maintained and host was extremely helpful providing advice about where to eat, helping out with restaurant bookings, and walks in the local area. The advice was greatly appreciated. Rooms were very large and spotless. Would stay here again!

Everything! It has everything we need for a lovely, enjoyable stay. The food was delicious, both breakfast which was included, and additional evening meal. The bar was warm and cosy with excellent beer. The staff were welcoming and friendly, going above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Our room was delightful with an exceptional view over the Yorkshire dales. Although the car park was a squeeze, there was ample parking for all guests. I couldn’t recommend the hotel more!

Quiet village, tea room next door to property, however not always open. Unfortunately the pub in Aysgarth is closed, however, In the nearby village of Carperby is the Wheatsheaf pub which does lovely food which I would recommend. Lovely walks straight from the property with Aysgarth Falls only a 20 min walk away.

Aysgarth is really well situated if you are looking for a base to stay on a visit to the Dales. It is a small, quiet village, but easy to find on the main roads around the area. Middle House is a lovely restaurant in the neighbouring village of Askrigg. The Falls are spectacular, well worth a visit and a walk around the area. A car is recommended for travelling around. If you like hiking and exploring the countryside, Aysgarth ticks every box.

If you are active at walking or cycling, or perhaps reading or writing, Aysgarth and the Hut are great, but if it's lousy weather, you might need to bring your own entertainment. I had a great meal in the Aysgarth Falls Hotel but the ambiance was not the best so I preferred to eat in. That was easy as all the cooking facilities are there and the local garage has food. For lunch, the Café Curva in Hawes is top of my list, but the cafe in Askrigg is good too.

The hotel was comfortable and homely & within easy walking distance of The Falls, the reason we chose it. The staff, particularly the afternoon/ evening ones, were very friendly and helpful. We were able to book our preferred seats for our evening meal. Lots of choices on the evening menu, all very generous portions. We would have liked more simple options for breakfast, fruit, creamy, not pouring, yoghurt

Great location for exploring the Yorkshire Dales, but noise issues at night from main road for bedrooms at the front of the building. Hotel otherwise comfortable and attractive. Staff very friendly and helpful. Restaurant is good. Definitely worth a visit.

Perfect location with beautiful views and so close to Aysgarth falls and Hawes. We were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary and received a complimentary bottle of prosecco which was a lovely surprise. Our room was in a cottage adjoining the hotel, great views, comfy bed, good shower. Breakfast and dinner plentiful and delicious. Staff and manager / owner very friendly and helpful with local knowledge and advice. Aysgarth falls are within walking distance and stunning to see and Hawes is only a short drive away.

It was a large beautiful cottage. The kitchen was well stocked including milk, tea, coffee, biscuits, dishwasher tablets etc. The wood for the fire was perfect for our wet Saturday afternoon chilling in front of the fire. We will be back next year. We walked 10 mins to the hotel and the pub is even closer. The falls were fantastic as we had had a lot of rain the week before. Bed was comfy and big. Corner bath was excellent.

Great house in a great location. Every room was decorated differently with some lovely pieces of artwork and pictures. The room was big and and had great views over the dales. Breakfast was all locally sourced and the bacon was to die for. All local walks from the house are on the doorstep. Easy walking to Aysgarth Falls and Bolton Castle. Would stay again in a heartbeat.
