The executive suite is a wonderful, big room which is lovingly furnished. There is a big seating area, a very comfortable bed and a copper bath tub next to the bed. Staff at the reception desk are very helpful and make you feel very welcome. There is a private parking both in front and at the back of the hotel. The cooked breakfast is very tasty.

We had booked a room at Lansdown Grove hotel for one night, but we were so happy with the size of the room and the city view that we had, that we extended our stay and added a day in Bath to our trip. Our room was not available for the next night, but we got an even bigger and nicer room on the same floor. Everything was up to par, the hotel staff was super nice, everything was clean and tastefully decorated. The parking spaces by the hotel were full, but we parked on the street where we could park for free in the street by the hotel from 7pm - 8am. We walked to the centre of Bath in the evenings which took us about 10 minutes downhill, but 15 minutes uphill, as it is pretty steep.

FAQs about hotels in Bath

Roman Remains and Georgian Grandeur

Wonderful, World Heritage-listed Bath is an impressive mix of Georgian architecture and Roman legacy. Its most famous landmark is the fantastic, natural hot spring Roman Baths. Although everything above the pillar bases is from a later period, you still get an idea of its appearance in Roman times. Sadly you can’t bathe here, but across the street the rooftop pool at Thermae Bath Spa offers views of Bath Abbey and the surrounding hills.

Check out the stained-glass windows in the abbey, England’s last remaining Gothic church. Its square houses Pump Rooms dispensing hot spring water from the Roman baths.

Just behind, the Parade Gardens by the River Avon overlook Bath Rugby Club, the multi-levelled Pulteney Weir and Grade I-listed Pulteney Bridge, lined with shops. Other Bath shopping options are the Southgate Shopping Centre, the bohemian Walcot Street market, and high street stores on Milsom and George streets.

North is The Circus, a circular square lined with Georgian townhouses, only marginally less impressive than the Royal Crescent down the road. You can now visit number 1 Royal Crescent, restored to its 18th-century glory.

Before heading to Bristol Airport from your Bath accommodation, take time to try the famous Sally Lunn Bun and stop at the pleasant pubs along the Kennet and Avon Canal.

What a beautiful city - hard to beat this one.

What a beautiful city - hard to beat this one. Striking architecture and lovely buildings - world class. It seemed that we could only scratch the surface of this stunning city in 2 days/nights. Wide range of excellent bars, cafes and restaurants - very high quality. The shopping is also superb with a wide range of fabulous shops to suit every taste and budget. I will make this an annual visit from now on.

The architecture of Bath is always so beautiful and so fascinating. The sense of affluence -- very chic and expensive shops, and millions of cafes and restaurants -- is in sharp contrast to the number of homeless, druggies and alcoholics visible in the city. What is being done about this awful polarisation?

It was a great time when we went to Bath, it wasn't too wet and cold. When we had our Roman Baths Tour, it was just cloudy but not pouring and it wasn't crowded. so it was easy for me to navigate and enjoy the tour without it being too many people in the area.

Beautiful place...

Beautiful place... We would have to say the walking tour was well worth while it gave us a wonderful over view of the city. If possible we would recommend doing the walking tour the day you arrive. For dinner we would thoroughly recommend the coconut tree and the Pig and Fiddle was great little go too also.

Staff very friendly and helpful, location great and importantly they don't charge stupid Bath prices. The full English breakfast is very good and it's just a few minutes drive/cab/bus to the City Centre (bus is actually probably quicker, as good bus lanes that shoot past the mandatory Bath stationery traffic!) My son is now at the University of Bath so will be popping down regularly and this hotel will be our place to stay.

The hotel is conveniently located in the city centre, but it's still very quiet. The building is nice and well-kept, the staff was friendly and professional. Check-in and check-out was quick and efficient. The room was clean and spacious, bed was comfortable and the bathroom was spotlessly clean. The complimentary breakfast was fresh and tasty, and there was a good variety.

Beautiful hotel located not far from Bath city centre (15 min walk) with wonderful decorations and friendly, helpful staff. The spa was really enjoyable, especially the outside heated spa pool. It was a very nice stay! My partner and I were in Bath for a short work visit, stayed in Apex hotel and had a lovely time there. The room was spatious and clean. I think, there were not many people at the hotel at the moment, we didn't hear any noises. We also visited spa and enjoyed it, was really quite and peaceful (winter travels are the best).
