Bellingham is only a small village but it has everything you need to make your stay comfortable. There's a couple of nice gift shops, some lovely little cafes, a butchers, coop, a couple of pubs and lots of nice local walks. Dinner menu was modestly priced , as it should be the food was only modest. We do not eat cooked breakfast and I can only say the continental option was aweful. This hotel is seems mainly to be used by groups of hikers whom I assume get special rates. It also seems to be aiming to be a wedding venue,cricket club and an outdoor beer garden. We stayed at The Fountain Cottage and Cafe. Beautiful accommodation, room was lovely, bathroom gorgeous with super shower. The food was delicious and staff were so nice, really helpful. A really nice friendly village.
A really nice friendly village. It has a Co-op as the main food supplier. Bakery,butcher a few cafes, pubs , Chinese take- away. Tea on the Train was a good experience it’s a cafe in a stationary carriage at the heritage centre . This is my first time staying in Bellingham for leisure.
This is my first time staying in Bellingham for leisure. I sometimes travel through on my way to work in Kielder and around Northumberland so have never got to experience the town proper. Some great places to eat including the Fountain Cottage and Happy Valley and cute local shops such as Olive and Myrtle and Natural Northumberland. Recently our friends opened their brewery at the old ambulance station, F&L (First & Last) which also has a tap room opened 09.12.2022 - this addition to the town and previous positive visits will ensure my return for both work and leisureGuest review byNathanUnited Kingdom

The hotel’s location is perfect for exploring the Northumberland National Park. We had a lovely time walking to and from Hareshaw Linn Waterfall. The staff were always friendly and helpful. The facilities included an indoor swimming pool and sauna, both of which were clean and well-maintained. The meals and drinks added to our pleasure, being delicious and promptly served.
