I found Bembridge full of surprises , I came across the last windmill on the island, the beach is so nice , the people are so friendly and very helpful, I felt welcome and safe. I have been visiting IOW for years as parents lived there.
I have been visiting IOW for years as parents lived there. I hadn’t been to stay in Benbridge but I was disappointed how far we had to travel to find things for my teenage grandson to do. I disliked travelling up and down unlighted hills to get to Ryde and Newport where most of the things my teenage grandson liked to do were there. I would not consider the room we had to be a 'superior' king-size room, (we had enough room to walk around the outside of our bed.) However, it is a beautiful old building and the hotel rooms seem to be in the process of refurbishment. Our room was above the bar area, but it did not affect our sleep. Good tea/coffee making facilities with added biscuits & sweets. Breakfast was very nice - with a good range of choice on the menu. The location was ideal for us. I was there with my son so had plenty of space. The caravan can accommodate two adults and two children, but be aware that the second bedroom is quite small. The view over the small airfield is very nice. The beach is a short walk away and there are nice walks you can take around Bembridge and back to Whitecliff.
