We had a family pod and a smaller one. Perfect size for our family trip enough space for everyone. The wheelchair fit easily too. Next time we will bring a chairlock and use the bike shed attached to the pod. The pods were absolutely beautiful and unique set within beautiful views and well maintained grounds. A home from home holiday. Booklet provided with things to do within the area B.Casle and horse riding. We look forward to going back and melting marshmallows when the fire pits are fitted The children loved the games dome, and feeding the horses in the field next door. The 68th cafe next door also provided a fabulous breakfast

Good location close to Bishop Auckland centre and train station. Rooms newly renovated and can tell a lot of care and attention has been taken on the design. Felt very luxurious and well finished. Good quality bed, mattress and linen made for a great nights sleep. One small improvement could be a mirror in the bedroom for makeup/hair styling near the outlets. Breakfast was nice and appreciated it being delivered to our room. Would happily stay again in the future when visiting family

The Auckland Project and Bishops Palace was excellent and exceeded our expectations! Surprised and impressed by how fascinating it was to look around the Palace and the Faith Museum which is located in one wing. The volunteers are marvellous, so knowledgeable, interesting and enthusiastic! Spent a very worthwhile three and a half hours there and would definitely recommend.

The improvements to Bishop Aukland are excellent.

The improvements to Bishop Aukland are excellent. I remember it from 20 years ago and the new facilities for visitors are very welcome. Kynren is brilliant and deserves much wider recognition. After ten years most people in other parts of the country still have not heard about it. This should be an internationally acclaimed event!!!

We stayed in Bishop Auckland in order to visit the Bishops palace and we weren't disappointed. The town itself is small and looking a little rundown in areas with lots of closed shops. We didn't have any trouble parking in the carparks and the price was reasonable for the location. £4 for all day. We didn't visit any of the other Auckland project attractions as we were on our way home but if they are probably worth a visit.

We traveled to Bishop Aukland specifically to visit the Bishop's Palace and the Spanish Gallery, which did not disappoint The town has seen better days and is frankly a bit of a dump: its centre streets have been hollowed out by out of town retail parks.

This little hotel is quant and beautiful - as it was 21 years ago when we had our wedding reception here. The only difference is that now the rooms are no longer a bit moth eaten and dusty around the edges but instead really gorgeous. The renovations are contemporary but very much in keeping with the original features. The stairs are still as squiffy as you’d expect from a building of this age, and it hasn’t lost any of the lovely character.

Sean (the host) was very welcoming. The information to find the house (even during the night time) were very clear, the presentation of the house, and activities to do in Bishop Auckland. The Breakfast was well with a great variety of foods and drinks. An attention is brought for guests with specific diets (e.g. without diet). The house is clean, well-equiped and quiet. The quality/price is excellent.

The breakfast was excellent. We had the avocado on toast, with poached eggs, which was delicious and there is a nice selection of choices for breakfast. We love the colours and decor throughout the hotel. It's beautifully designed. And the room was comfortable and clean. The location is excellent being so close to Bishop Auckland and the areas we were visiting.
