This place is one of the best we have been in (and we travel a lot)! 'Quirky' does not do justice to this lovely cottage (we loved the 'secret door' :)) It is amazingly cozy and well furbished, but also very well equipped - there was nothing we missed. It is quiet and comfortable (there is a fireplace too), and the area is both peaceful and beautiful. The beds were comfortable, the heating was easy and convenient - we had a fantastic stay!

    It is a nice place .

    It is a nice place . If you chose to go up north using the A 836 make sure you fill up before leaving . There is no filling stations before Tongue.The A 836has extremely good views however it is misleading on a map because a large proportion of this road is single track with passing places .Allow at LEAST 3 hours to get to Tongue ,especially if stopping .There is not a lot of food outlets however the Dunroamin Hotel I stayed in did a very nice dinner .

    The hotel is in a great location and we had a room with a view to the front of the hotel, so we had a fantastic view of the river and the Hills in the distance, The staff were wonderfully friendly and couldn't do enough to make our stay pleasurable, We didn't eat in the restaurante, but the breakfast was excellent

    The hosts were very friendly and helpful, cooked a delicious meal of fresh fish and salad and suggested a mellow local whisky. It’s more a bed and breakfast than a hotel. Lovely view of the sunset from the bedroom window, a great location next to the water.

    Superb. We were stopping over on the eve of our final lands end John o goats cycle ride. The hotel was very accommodating and fitted our requirements 1000%. Great service, lovely people and a great part of the world.do it!

    The owners were very nice and friendly, food was excellent in the evening and the full scottish was incredible. A big hotel car park directly opposite the property was also ideal and appreciated.
