The area is quite unspoilt - it has spectacular views and is a very attractive area - plenty for the family , safe bathing - local shops are very friendly and have local produce for sale . Also a weekly market and craft fair . Be prepared for traffic in and around Braunton during the day , but it is worth it when you get there. For those interested in seeing butterflies and being close to nature , the downs are the place to explore , as well as the sand dunes . Lovely walk all along the beach. Beautiful walk along the coastal path to Croyde and Baggy Point. Tranquil stroll along the River Caen from Braunton and then on through Braunton Burrows. Kitchen had all the utensils we needed. Garden was very quiet and relaxing. The location was very handy for Braunton and Ash Barton Estate. We knew about the parking space limitations before leaving, but unfortunately, we have a big car, so we knew it was unlikely we could use the space.
