Jen and How are absolutely warm and welcoming hosts. The location of the B&B is beautiful with stunning views of Brecon and the countryside. The room was of a high quality standard. The breakfast prepared with love. It was the best B&B on our tour of Wales. Good recommendation for a relaxing stay.

My family and I had the best stay at Old Chapel Llanfrynach. It’s beautifully decorated, very clean and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. Gareth the host kept in touch throughout our stay and was friendly, helpful and welcoming. We had cosy nights in with the log burner and blankets and enjoyed the gorgeous views from the bedrooms in the morning. It’s in a great location for exploring the nearby mountains and trails. It was easy to park, dog friendly, perfect for our young kids, plus a great price. Highly recommended

The apartment was beautiful, warm and peaceful, with everything we needed for our short trip. Our host was there to welcome us before we drove a mile or so to the excellent Felin Fach Griffin for a superb meal. We were treated to some special views - the Milky Way on a starry night and then the sun rising the next morning over the stunning hills across the fields. We slept soundly in a very comfortable bed and came away feeling recharged. We would love to stay again.

A nice Town, well located for hiking, Hay on wye (we went by bus 30 minutes), Swansea beaches (to visit old friends), Hereford the Mappa Mundi. Brecon Cathedral well worth a visit and a prayer. No visible above average dining would seem to reflect the locality.

Brecon is a great little centre for walking with a nice atmosphere and plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants. We live an hours drive away but it is really nice to book for a weekend away and to explore the area, the weather isn’t always kind so staying in Brecon provides for alternatives if necessary.

We absolutely love the cathedral!

We absolutely love the cathedral! The museum was well worth a visit too & we discovered we had relatives who had served in the Boar War. There are excellent easy strolls to be had along the canal paths and plenty of shops to browse through. You'll never be short of a coffee shop in Brecon, there are loads to choose from.

YHA Brecon Beacons was a lovely base for our hiking trip.

YHA Brecon Beacons was a lovely base for our hiking trip. The location is peaceful and close to major trails, with clean rooms, a well-equipped kitchen, and helpful trail maps at reception. Both our pod and shared room were cosy with essentials like heating and plug points. The pricing was very reasonable for the comfort offered. The only issue was the strict 5–10 PM check-in window. Overall, a great and affordable stay!

Another wonderful stay at Brecon Beacons YHA. My mum and I stayed in one of the wooden pods which was super cosy, with comfy beds and lovely views. Food both nights was very tasty and affordable, and we enjoyed using the common area to sit by the fire and plan our walks for the next day, and play some rounds of scrabble! The staff were all really friendly and helpful, and the hostel is perfectly located for a range of beautiful walks that begin from the front door. Already looking forward to our next stay!

Not sure what to expect from a Wetherspoon hotel, but this was situated close to Brecon town centre the staff were great the room was clean and plenty of room and to a good standard. This stay has changed my perception of what to expect and I would definitely consider using these hotels in the future.
