Great central location, yet very quiet thanks to double glazing. Beautiful Art Deco design with highly professional staff. The room is well-equipped with a kettle, tea, a coffee machine, and coffee. Very comfortable mattress and an excellent breakfast. A restaurant and bar are available downstairs. Highly recommended!

Amazing stay, we came here after Glastonbury and the experience couldn't have been better - we were upgraded for free and were allowed to check in early. You can order delivery food in the evening and the breakfast was brought to our room for a small charge in the morning. Beautifully decorated rooms and lovely, friendly staff.

I was very happy with my stay at the Hotel du Vin Bristol. It was my fourth stay at the hotel over the last 12 years and I have always enjoyed staying there. It is located in the city centre of Bristol within walking distance of the shopping area in Cabot Circus. My room was very quiet and set back from the main road. I also enjoyed my dinner at the Hotel Du Vin restaurant. I really appreciated how nutritional information was provided on the menu so that diners were able to make informed choices about their food. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The extreme proximity to the airport makes it invaluable if you land late in the evening or have an early morning departure. My room was comfortable, and despite the road adjacent to the inn, I slept quite well. The breakfast was excellent, not included in the room price but available at a reasonable cost. You can also enjoy a great dinner in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

FAQs about hotels in Bristol

From Brunel to Banksy!

Britain’s 4th most popular visitor destination, Bristol boasts Brunel’s magnificent Clifton Suspension Bridge spanning the River Avon. More Brunel handiwork is in the harbour where his SS Great Britain steamship is moored. Pirate walks here detail the city’s underground naval history.

Further north in Clifton is the world’s oldest zoo outside a capital city. Other Bristol attractions include At-Bristol Museum and the Grade I-listed Corn Exchange with its 4 "nails" outside where money changed hands. Also worth a visit is St Nicholas Market, in a Georgian square home to several bars and a Slow Food Market on the 1st Sunday of every month. Other Bristol shopping options include shopping centres at Cabot Circus, and Cribbs Causeway on the outskirts.

As a student city, Bristol really comes to life after dark. The live music scene here is fantastic and has given way to several internationally known bands, but for something more alternative head to Eastside.

Another option for alternative-seekers is the work of hometown street artists Banksy. Just like Booking.com’s Bristol accommodation, his work is spread throughout this fabulous city.

This Gateway to the West Country is served by Bristol Airport and Temple Meads train station. The old Bristol to Bath railway line is now a cycle route and makes a great day trip.

I would describe Bristol as a very diverse City with plenty of things to do and see. Other than getting a bus to the Clifton Bridge we walked everywhere which is something my family are used to . Others might find this challenging as Bristol is not flat but there are buses everywhere that seem to charge £2.50p for every journey ? We used a number of restaurants in the City including Hole in the Wall and Bar and Block. Each venue provided us with a very good meal. Younger persons than myself like might to try the two escape rooms in Cabot Circus which I am told are very good.

A vibrant city with plenty going on.

A vibrant city with plenty going on. Lots of excellent coffee shops, restaurants and other places to eat and drink. A couple of favourites from this trip: Coffee Under Pressure - Park Street - Lovely coffee and pastries. Burger Theory - St Stephens Street - Great burger, fries and shakes. Bristol is generally easy to get around but people with mobility issues should be aware that outside of the centre it can be quite hilly and the hills can be steep

We’d been to Bristol several times before and had come down for a gig at the Trinity Centre, which was a great venue. We went to Bristol Museum and Gallery which has a lovely eclectic mix of exhibits- paintings covering a wide range of styles, Egyptians, Natural History and so much more. I’d highly recommend the Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2025 exhibition that’s currently being held there. We also went to the Watershed which is an excellent two screen independent cinema down near the dock. Bristol is stuffed full of fantastic pubs, places to eat and shops. There really is something for all ages and tastes. The only thing that’s worth considering is that many of the streets are quite hilly. I’m fit and have good mobility but it might be tiring walking around if these things are an issue for you.

Bristol is a busy city, all going on, universities, theatres, restaurants, bars, clubs etc. Easy access from M5, Clifton is of particular interest to me for it's village feel! These days could not last as long as I would like, age thing. Busy city and only criticism, council with all their controls and regulations appear to want to make it as hard as possible to go there.

I loved the cosy single room, heating on on arrival. Lamp next to the bed and plugs. Greggs cafe is just the best for breakfast and lots of foods and cakes until 7pm. You can get a free Coffee too! With the app It’s a five minutes walk with plenty of shops and charity shops There’s a garage and Tesco 2 min walk 15 min walk to the leisure centre and 25 to UWE Get an UBER to Filton train station for around £6 daytime. £16 evenings. One stop takes you to city centre or the airport!!

Comfortable bed (and large as we had a super long size bed), polite and friendly staff. We had lounge access which was excellent - complimentary soft drinks during the day and beer/wine between 5:30-7:30pm plus some canapé food items. Great location for Bristol city centre and right next door to an NCP car park, for which the hotel gives discounted overnight parking. I found the hotel to be noisey from the outside noise, the curtains let quite a bit of light in around them as well.

This is a fantastic hotel that exceeded all expectations, especially for the price. We used it as a place to stay on the way to Devon so its location for that was fantastic but would stay again to visit Bristol as what you save on accommodation is worth it for the short journey in to the city centre Clean and comfortable with nice additions like snacks and drinks and a pool and sauna.

The location was important - and was very good. The car park was convenient and the signage to the hotel from there was excellent. The room was quiet for a city centre and was very clean, but the heating didn't appear to work properly and it felt cold despite turning it up. Staff were helpful and arranged to look after our luggage before we left Bristol.
