Burley in Wharfedale was a nice surprise.
Burley in Wharfedale was a nice surprise. As well as the obvious terrain of the Yorkshire Dales for hill walking, the town was a great base. Walks on the upland moors, and many well-maintained paths through the upper farm lands. The town itself has lots of footpaths throughout the town, so its easy to avoid just walking along the streets, and many green spaces with extensive play facilities. I know Burley well.

This is a gorgeous village.
This is a gorgeous village. The perfect location to visit Harrogate, Ilkley, Leeds, Bradford, Skipton. It's well equipped with cafes, pharmacy, deli, library, play area, restaurants. It's really clean and well kept and has a lovely community feel (lots of events.. plays, a duck race, concerts). Lots of walks nearby.Guest review byEJUnited Kingdom
