Reception at the Plough Inn was friendly and welcoming, immersing us straigth away in the local atmosphere of the pub. The rooms were above expectation with separate seating area and well appointed bathroom provided. All immaculately appointed and cleaned to perfection. The pub setting for dinner is absolutely perfect, providing the opportunity to talk to the locals and enjoy the friendly atmosphere. Hostess Marianne taking care of front-of-house is charming and convivial, making us feel at home straight away, while paving the way for the excellent dishes prepared by husband and chef Richard, assuring us of an excellent dining experience. The best review I can give is that I'll be certain to go back to the Plough Inn whenever I am in the area next!

The hotel is very close to the train station, and a perfect spot to stay for a couple nights when visiting various tourist attractions in Kent. We really enjoyed the breakfast, especially the nice waffles. And the staff was really kind all the times, overall we had a great stay at the hotel.

We stayed at the start of the summer holidays and hence were...

We stayed at the start of the summer holidays and hence were caught up in heavy traffic on the A20 enroute to Dover. Apparently that happens quite frequently, so factor this in to travel times. Very close to Leeds Castle, and not far from Canterbury and Sissinghurst so plenty to do in the area.

The Bowl Inn is not actually in Charing but about 2 miles...

The Bowl Inn is not actually in Charing but about 2 miles from the village down a narrow and windy country lane. The pub is on its own with hardly any other buildings within walking distance. Charing itself is an extremely attractive village and well worth a visit for an hour or so.

Everything was good, the room with your own wee garden was perfect for my dog, the hotel is also dog friendly and that is a high priority for us big tick for that. The food was excellent we had dinner when we arrived which was eaten in the lounge with our dog, relaxing and great atmosphere, the breakfast was also really good and with a lovely ambience and view into the gardens..The room was spotless and smelt lovely....Would defo recommend..

The Bowl Inn is a lovely pub located in the countryside with easy access to many beautiful villages and also not far from Maidstone. Great spot to use as a base for touring around Kent & East Sussex. Great food and very comfortable accommodation. Super friendly and cosy place! If we lived close by this would be our local for weekend meals/visits. It is what I expect a pub to be like!

The rooms were just across the car park from the pub. They are finished to a high quality modern standard. The property is in a quiet country village, which suited us perfectly. Molly is a great host. The breakfasts were first class and the restaurant menu in the evening is full of great pub classics. An excellent place to stay for touring and sightseeing in Kent.

The room was great, clean and really well furnished. The tea and coffee tray was the best I have ever seen in a pub/hotel ! I love the fact that the owner left everything you need (water, and even wine!), and you can even order food from the pub in your room. I highly recommend it and will maybe stay again myself.

A good hotel with a cozy pub with friendly staff. Quietly located in the countryside and close to the tunnel. Breakfast was good. Because we had to get to the Eurotunnel on time they served us as early as possible. Lots of free parkingspace and quiet at night.
