The room was better (and bigger) than expected, with good toiletries, tea and coffee facilities and comfy bed. It was also very quiet, no noises from the pub or the street. Breakfast was great with many options. We also had dinner one of the nights and the food was good. Location was perfect for us, as we were attending a festival a few minutes from the pub.

We had an amazing stay at the cottage! The staff (a lovely family, we believe) were so welcoming and made us feel at home. All the facilities we needed were available — the hot tub was especially relaxing, and although we didn’t use the sauna, it was great to have the option. Everything was very well maintained. A special highlight was feeding the goats, which made the stay even more memorable. The location was also perfect for exploring, we managed to visit Bath, Cardiff, and the Cotswolds, which was ideal as we had a guest visiting from New Zealand. We had such a lovely time and would highly recommend this place!

Found it to be friendly. If you would like a countryside experience then this is a wonderful place to be the views are fantastic. Ideally situated for explloring Wells, Bath and Bristol also Cheddar Gorge.

Everything could not of been better, from the staff to food ,the room & of course the drink . Staff always willing to help. The food was fantastic ( you just have to try one of the oggies ), we used to stay over at the hotel 20 yrs ago & alway remembered it as a nice place so thought we would get away for the day & try it again, although it was a long time ago nothing has changed it is as good now as we remembered it back then. A really lovely place with everything to match from the people to the food.

Located in a very quiet part of the countryside this hotel met our requirements for an overnight stay. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the Hunters Rest served excellent food and had a good selection of drinks available. The room up one set of stairs was very clean and although the one window over looked the lane to the property there was very little traffic and we slept through the night with no disturbance at all. Excellent stay and would recommend.

We booked the hotel for a visit to nearby Bath, as we couldn't get anything in town with guaranteed parking facilities. Overall it was a pleasant stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and they went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The breakfast was excellent - much better even than in some more expensive places. And the cosy, pub-like hotel restaurant offered good food.

Lisa was absolutely fab! I was really nervous about staying in someone's house as normally I book into a hotel and she was so warm welcoming. I slept like a log. Will definitely be staying again and bringing family.
