The hotel is located in a ship with a varied history - used during wartimes, but also for trade, then for a playboy‘s party life, it had been left unused for many years before the current owners restored it. Hotel rooms are designed as cabins with en-suite bathrooms, breakfast and drinks are served in the upper deck. We loved the design of the rooms and common areas - high quality and nicely classic without any kitsch. Service was impeccable, and while breakfast was rather simple, the bar served very creative cocktails. Certainly a very unique experience!

This hotel is in a great location and the staff are friendly and helpful. Champagne at breakfast is an added bonus and a great way to start the day. It was my husband's birthday and a beautiful birthday balloon and card were in our room for him with a card from the hotel and a complimentary glass of bubbles at the bar. Great location, very close to Princes Street and to numerous buses (including a bus from/to the airport and hop on-hop off busses), restaurants, shops. You could also walk almost everywhere. The room was very spacious and clean and the bathroom as well! The shower was really spacious and hot water would come out almost immediately and loved it! The bed and pillows very comfortable! There was a complementary bottle of water and shortbreads each day. There was a coffee machine in the room and nespresso capsules, so you could make your own coffee at any time (tea was also available). The staff was polite.
