I recently stayed at the Manor Hotel in Crickhowell and I must say, it was an amazing experience. The hotel exceeded my expectations in every possible way. What I loved the most about the hotel was its peaceful atmosphere. The view from the hotel was breathtaking and the serene surroundings made for a truly calming experience. I had the most restful sleep in months, thanks to the comfortable bed and the soothing sounds of the birds singing outside. The staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly and attentive. They went above and beyond to ensure that I had a pleasant stay.

It is a beautiful little village set in a very picturesque area, our stop was just overnight after a trip to a dog show in Builth Wells, but it was very enjoyable and we will return again next year and maybe explore some more.

A wonderful small town. full of character set amongst attractive hills. The surrounding countryside is gorgeous with a variety of lovely walks ranging from flat strolls along canal and river to substantial hills. Some of the streets in the town centre are quite steep too. The visitor centre has some excellent local guidebooks. There are a few local shops, including newsagents, as well as cafes, pubs and hotels for places to eat, but for more substantial shopping you will need to go into Brecon or Abergavenny.

It was a very pleasant small town beautifully situated in the Black Mountains and so near to other places of interest. We visited Hay on Wye, Abergavenny, Brecon and Canal basin, the Brecon Beacons. Wonderful scenery. The bus service made for a relief from driving. We stayed and ate at the Bear Hotel which we can highly recommend.

We did the hike up Pen Y Fan with a large group of friends earlier in the day and then stayed over at the Bear afterwards. Everyone in our group booked their accommodation individually, however the Bear were happy to arrange a large table for our group and we pre ordered our meals ahead of time. We will definitely be back!

The Barn is a very nice cottage, very quiet. There is a big kitchen , on the first floor two bedrooms and a bathroom. Behind the cottage is a small terrace for a nice breakfast in morning sun. In front of the cottage you can enjoy the evening sun. The Barn is located between Crickhowell and Abergavenney. From here it is easy to explore the Brecon Beacons, Wye valley or Usk valley

Unique accommodation in a fantastic location. The Tower was exceptionally comfortable with commanding views across the river and the Estate. A great base to explore the lovely Brecon Beacons. Anglers will appreciate the opportunity to fish for trout and salmon, with the River Usk a few steps from the front door.
