Deal is a great place for holiday spoilt only by the long stay car parks. We found two of them which wouldn't take any of our cards or payment by phone, or answer any calls including the town council number which cut us off after being put through several times. We were told to use the station car park, same problems but the signs said there were machines in the station building, which was closed. We found a short stay car park and locals told us to park at either end of town where there is free parking, you just to drive around until you find a space, finally got one near the bandstand at Walmer about 10 minutes walk to our hotel.and leave it there for the duration, these places are one out one in (in seconds). On our way to Deal we went to Sandwich, lovely place, worth a visit, but leaving there our satnav took us down towards the sea where there is a toll road charging £5 ("it's either that or the long way round, mate") - effectively a £5 charge for entering Deal(.Guest review byIanUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Seaside being very well used. Great to see hollyhocks, horned poppies and yellow mullein growing on the beach. Pier very well used. Our stay was for 3 nights, there was a milk in the fridge, tea, coffee (for cafetiere), flowers, chocolates and a bottle of prosecco too!
