The Winnock is the oldest Hotel in the UK. It was full of character and charm. The location was perfect for exploring the Trossachs. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The beds were very clean, with new mattress envelopes on each bed. The Hotel bar had a great dinner and friendly service. The entertainment was really very good, a great way to spend a Friday night in the Scottish countryside! The roaring fireplace was perfect to warm up after a long hike .

This was such a homely and welcoming place. The owners received us like members of their own family. A lovely wee place to visit.

A lovely wee place to visit. We stayed so we could visit the Falkirk Wheel and Kelpies but many come for the outdoor activities. Plenty of coffee shops and bars. The Thursday night Pipe Band is brilliant.

Ideal location for exploring Loch Lomond and in easy reach of the trossachs! The village has independent shops for food and provisions plus a very good pub! There's a lovely path immediately opposite the Buchanon Arms approx 200m leading to a viewing area with benches to look out on the trossachs!

Lovely old historic hotel with many antiquities on display. I fair condition throughout considering the age of the property. Room was pleasant and comfortable and a superb breakfast after a good nights sleep. Excellent location for exploring the east side of Loch Lomond with a quiet village to hand for local walks. Thoroughly enjoyed the free leisure facilities such as the pool sauna and bubble bath. Would stay again if in the area.

Great location in the lovely little village of Drymen with 2 other pubs, a bakery/coffee shop and a spar. A great stop on the way up to Scotland very close to Loch Lomond. In the West Highland Way and Rob Roy walking routes. We had dinner, bed and breakfast for £126, amazing value. The food was great with big portions. The staff are friendly and they welcome dogs for £10 each.

An absolute gem of a hotel in prime location for anyone seeking to explore the vast wilds of Scotland. I was made to feel exceptionally welcome, especially after my attempt at venturing on the West Highland Way went awry, and particularly enjoyed some hearty breakfasts here.
