The personal was really nice and friendly. The rooms were big and beautiful and clean. There is a bus station nearby so you can get around. The food is amazing. The view from the hotel is so good. We had an amazing time staying there and if we ever come back I will definetly stay here again.

Its just a lovely warm and welcoming place to be. We go usually time in November. Shops are amazing, staff always make you wecome and ask where are you from etc , so friendly. We will book again for next year.

An interesting city. The people were lovely and it is an excellent base to travel to other locations. Excellent bus service to St Andrews and Tentsmuir forest. Plenty of choice for eating and shopping. Museums and galleries. Would return.

I like Dundee. I like the buildings.

I like Dundee. I like the buildings. Nicely pedestrianised centre. Sad to see so many empty shops. I was there to visit my sister in Ninewells Hospital so I didn’t eat out. The bus services were very good.

Great views of the Tay Bridge.

Great views of the Tay Bridge. Mills Observatory well worth a visit, saw Saturn with its rings through a telescope. I notice this is not listed among "popular places in Dundee". V&A Museum building well worth a look even if you are not interested in the contents. Ate at V&A cafe (good food but pricey). Bought ham an bread at a supermarket to make my own sandwiches. I did not see a McDonalds, Burger King, Domino Pizzas nor Greggs. Walked everywhere, stayed about 1 mile from the centre.

Lots to do !

Lots to do ! V & A was excellent and so was the Jute museum. A bonus was the Jazz Festival coinciding with our visit. Plenty of good restaurants and my CD collection has grown after visiting the music shops. We walked around using the free trail leaflets.

I used to live in Dundee from 2006 to 2012. Its an interesting City. The history is interesting. The McManus Galleries, The Verdant Works, The Discovery Ship and more. And more modern is the V n A Musuem. The Dundonians are characters...

The hotel was very close to the bus stop which took us to Arbroath, a cute little village that we wanted to see. The bus station and cruise terminal were also close to the hotel. The dining options in Dundee were great, many to choose from, people in the shops friendly. The visit to the "Discovery" ship was great and would recommend this attraction. On the whole, it was easy to get around Dundee on foot or using the local bus. The local bus drivers were great and helpful to us as overseas visitors but some were very gruff, rude and unhelpful and assumed we would know things that as overseas visitors, we had no idea and spoke to us in a gruff and abrupt manner. This was the only detraction.

Malmaison is a lovely hotel in a really interesting old building. We really only slept there overnight so did not make use of the restaurant, bar or breakfast on this occasion but their offer looks good. The location is perfect for the V&A Museum and Discovery Museum and also a short walk from many of Dundee's other cultural attractions. Good views of the Tay Bridge and river from the bedrooms.

Fabulous rooms and suites set in an old mill exposing some of the original stonework. Also the old photographs with accompanying information displayed around the hotel are wonderful to remind citizens of Dundee, inform visitors and also to recognise and appreciate all the people who worked so hard in this city when jute was one of the main industries.

I really liked the breakfast 👍 And I could get anywhere I wanted in a short time by walking, which was amazing. The staff was reaaally friendly and they were really helpful. Would come again to this hotel next time I come to Dundee (I've added a photo of the view from the breakfast lounge/reception)

Great location for an overnight stay in Dundee. Arrive off of the train and straight into hotel, so easy. Lovely welcome at reception and hotel bar before dropping off bags and heading into the city centre. Brilliant. Everyone I met who worked there were really pleasant.
