Fantastic find! This was a wonderful four day stay for our group of 14 people. The owners took great care of us, going out of their way to make it a most pleasant stay. Loved having breakfast available, a good variety - eggs to order, fresh, warm croissants, fresh coffee or tea.

The whole experience was fantastic, in particular the staff were excellent, especially the young lady at reception who managed the bar and restaurant too.

    Ecclefechan itself is a bit of a ghost town very tired...

    Ecclefechan itself is a bit of a ghost town very tired looking centre just a small general store.We went to eat at the Cressfield hotel on outskirts of village by caravan site.We ate there and would reccommend their evening meals.Ecclefechan is in quite a good position to see some of the surrounding countryside and coast.

    Clean comfortable made very welcome , felt too many dont’s in conversation and didn’t like a note being put on bed we were not using after being told not to use empty bed , down side had to travel into Gretna for food to bring back , many more information on that would be useful but I also didn’t ask , have to say thank you for letting us leave a bit later to go to wedding

    A very good host and attentive staff.

    A very good host and attentive staff. A great breakfast to start your day off, and was a good base to visit gretna green and dumfries and on to castle douglas. Then back to hotel for a nice drink, food and comfy bed.

    Lovely Hotel, 400 years old and lots of character, very friendly, regular bus service to Lockerbie, Annan, Gretna and Carlisle. We had a great adventure. Hotel was very friendly and we loved our stay. The food was good pub grub and the hotel was lovely as was the room. We had a beautiful on suite. A big comfy bed. Absolutely no complaints at all and we shall go back. Thank you Mary and our lovely barmaid Karen. Nothing was too much trouble.

    Kirkconnel Hall Hotel is a very quirky establishment full of unusual antiques and curios. The hotel bedroom was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Even though the hotel is situated between the A74(M) and a mainline railway nothing disturbed the peace. The breakfast was exceptional, everything that you could want was available - Really good!

    Visited this quaint old hotel on the way up to Scotland. We were welcomed by very friendly relatively new owners. We enjoyed a great night in the bar playing pool, darts cards and even cranked up the Karaoke. Breakfast was plentiful with a full Scottish. Room was warm and comfortable.

    Very clean and well -appointed ensuite room in a block of 3 at a farm location. Good WiFi and TV. Good emailed instructions for access. Excellent value for money and a nice alternative to our usual motorway service station hotel overnight stays between Aberdeen and Lancashire.
