What an amazing little pub hotel. Spotlessly clean, incredibly designed and so so comfortable. This was a gem of a find in the Peaks District and right down the street from adorable Bakewell. The breakfast was delicious (the black pudding!) and our stay couldn't have been better. Will stay here again the next chance we get.

Eyam is a pretty village in the Peak District.

Eyam is a pretty village in the Peak District. The church and museum provide a good history of the village and their response to the plague and there are several walks to do round the village to explore some of the historic sites. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and there are lots of great cafes to choose from for coffee and cake etc. It is also well placed for walking on the gritstone edges of the Peak District

Beautiful countryside, Eyam is full of history being The Plague Village in the 1600’s. Lovely Derbyshire stone cottages. Walkers paradise! The Miners Arms on Water St is a great pub for food and drink. Two café/tea rooms with lovely cakes etc. There is a Youth Hostel as well.

Eyam has a long and well documented history which it displays throughout the village, telling the story of the village self-isolating during the plague in the 17th century. It's a good tale even if some of it is now considered to be embellished for the tourists but worth visiting and exploring nonetheless. If you stay in the village you'll find it much less busy in the evening when the day trippers have departed. It's largely picturesque and mostly unspoilt, has a decent pub, the Miners Arms, good local walks, and a bus service to Bakewell and Sheffield. There's a useful small general store and a fruit and veg shop that has intermittent opening times so I don't know what it's like. Eyam is a good base for exploring the Peak District.

Booked 2 nights for a quick family visit. The surroundings, accommodation and breakfast were all top notch. Very clean. and cosy room. Owners Pauline and Trevor were friendly without being intrusive which is sometimes a difficult balance to get right for some B&B owners. The village of Eyam is very pretty. Went out to eat at the local The Bulls Head Inn which was recommended by the owners.. Exceptional food with every item we ordered being home made. We will definitely be back and would recommend without hesitation.

A lovely old pub in the centre of the very beautiful old village of Eyam. Parking at the back. We had a very comfortable room. The evening meal was exceptional: both the tuna and the lamb were beautiful, and and the two of us shared the most amazing summer pudding, which we’ll never forget. It was outstanding. The waitress, whose name I didn’t get, was so pleasant and great at her job. Highly recommended.
