We checked in later than expected and were met met by very friendly staff that checked us in and showed us to our room. We were very happy with the room from the moment we stepped through the door. It was clean tidy and well laid out with and amazing bathroom. We were visiting from New Zealand to meet family and the staff even gave us 30 minutes or so after close to keep talking as it was only visit for ten years, thank you to all the staff, and thanks to the chef for lovely meals in the evening. Brealfast the following day was also excellent and again served with a smile from the fabulous staff, Myself and my daughter loved the stay.

Very friendly, attentive, and accommodating staff. We felt very welcome. The room was clean and spacious with a comfortable bed. The food at the pub was delicious. Even a simple starter like loaded nachos or the Eggs Benedict for breakfast tasted fresh and flavoursome. We are hoping to come back soon 😀

I will look back on this little getaway very fondly! The surroundings were gorgeous, the location perfect for little daily trips - so much to see. A short drive from beaches and forests. Already dreaming about the next time we get to stay there.

Our second time of staying at the Ship Inn on holiday. Very central and Breakfast in the morning is amazing, you can have what ever you want. The rooms have all the condiments you need from tea/coffee facilities, biscuits, bottled water, soap shampoo etc and Brochures with maps in. The staff are very welcoming .

    It was disappointing to be told that the hot tub was out of use on arrival.Even more disappointing not to get the promised refund. A good time was had overall.General maintenance of cabin exterior needed.Small omissions inside too... no chopping board nor bathmat which was not anticipated .

    I was looking for somewhere to stay for 1 night with a reactive dog as I was attending a canine workshop close by. This accommodation was easy to book, great value, comfortable and immaculate. An outside area for sole use with table and chairs to enjoy the sunset and a morning coffee with the pooch. Would highly recommend.

    Quiet town 11 miles from Salisbury, and in the New Forest...

    Quiet town 11 miles from Salisbury, and in the New Forest but with all the local amenities required, eg pharmacy, Tesco express, pubs, garage. Seemed to be popular with hikers so I'm guessing plenty of walks and trails nearby. The George pub is right on the river by the bridge and serves great food. We ate there twice, within easy walking distance from our B&B

    Easy access to the forest walks Fordingbridge was were our first walk started . Then over to hilliars gardens near Romsey so easy access to forest . The compasses Inn was for the Gurka Menu which is so worth a go all worked very well

    Great location. Lovely cottage. Needs better directions on how to find the cottage I needed to text owner to ask location. Needs to be told about gates at entrance to cottage. Parking permit was great.

    A beautiful little village on the banks of the Avon river in the heart of the New Forest. As this was purely an overnight stay we did not get the option to explore the area, however, there were a number of beautiful pubs and restuarants in the area.

    We needed to breakup our journey to Devon and as we were visiting Fordingbridge decided this B and B was a perfect place to stop overnight. We were made most welcome,had also a very tasty evening meal and our breakfast the next morning was most delicious Alongside this, the staff were most polite,courteous and helpful. Set in a beautiful part of the country,we spent a nice evening sitting in the beer garden too! We would definitely visit this pub/hotel again

    The property is amazing and set in a beautiful location - such an amazing garden. It's right in the heart of Fordingbridge. Although it's a very secluded location it's just a short walk to the shops and pubs. The place is spotless and there was a bottle of prosecco and chocolates on arrival. There were also things like bread, butter, jams, condiments and a variety of teas and coffees. We had a very relaxing stay. Would definitely recommend.

    The cabin was well decorated and we liked the lighting. Great facilities and activities around the forest hub. We went for a walk down to the river; the location is stunning as is Fordingbridge town. We also found out a little bit of history about the "Sandy Balls" name by visiting the sandy balls themselves. We had a massage at the Retreat and it was great and good value for money. All the staff were very friendly too.
