Grasmere is like nowhere else - it’s absolutely stunning and has a tranquil feel to it that just makes you feel so relaxed and content when you’re there. Plenty of walks, scenery, cafes, restaurants, a decent pub and lots of beautiful hotels to choose from. The gingerbread shop is gorgeous! There’s so much to see here. Grasmere is one of the prettiest villages in The Lake District and is an idyllic place if you are lucky with the weather. There are interesting tourist attractions nearby as well as excellent mountain walking options. The resort benefits from a very good bus service, which gives additional options in nearby places so you can get out and about without using a car. Very busy place during the day.
Very busy place during the day. There is a ginger bread shop by the church that has William Wordsworth's grave. This must be the busiest shop in Britain. From around 9.30 till 4.30 there is a queue. If you think I exagerate, go visit, and happy waiting. Some nice galleries, cafes and restaurants. All accomodation in Grasmere looks high end. Lovely scenery and walks. The bus service is fantastic we used quite a lot. Fantastic for a walking and sightseeing. The Swan hotel is a very good location we also noticed that there was camping beside the car park in Grasmere. We traveled to Ambleside Kesick and Kendal good places to visitGuest review byPeterUnited Kingdom

The air-con worked great and the water pressure and temperature in the shower was great. We were able to use the spa and order room service after a long day walking with the dog. Breakfast was good. The spa had a steam room, a sauna and a pool with bubbles and jets. There was loads of outdoor space for dog toilet before bed and in the morning. And a dog poo bin provided. Breakfast was ideal - fresh, tasty and cooked perfectly. Lovely bonus of afternoon cream tea available plus tea and coffee throughout stay.
