A wonderful pub and the best place to stay in the area. Utterly charming staff. The lady that runs the place gave my daughter a horse shoe for good luck (for her interviews at a school nearby). Really lovely place.

Breakfast was served in the breakfast room and it was lovely to be served. The building was very old and quirky but was well maintained and the rooms were large and decorated tastefully, There is a beautiful courtyard out the back overlooking the countryside where we had drinks before going inside to have some dinner. You can also sit out the front and watch the world go by. Car parking is out the back by the courtyard. Lizzy was a great hostess and was able to answer all my husbands questions about the hotel. My husband and I loved this hotel.

The cabin was in a perfect location in a quiet spot overlooking Bedgebury forest and had all the facilities we needed. Hosts made sure the cabin was lovely and warm before we arrived and left us fresh milk, tea and bottled water.

Food was amazing.

Food was amazing. Lovely bathroom products and lots of personal touches made the stay memorable. Good location for visiting many sights. Main drawback was no overhead ceiling shower due to ceiling height, so shower had to be handheld, which made hair washing tricky.

Beautiful part of the world.

Beautiful part of the world. Hawkhurst is small but very well placed as a base for day-tripping from with a wealth of historic houses, gardens, castles etc within easy reach, plus good walking country.

It's a small but beautiful village.

It's a small but beautiful village. From there, you can easily visit many historic sites managed by the National Trust. It's also a great location for walkers, as you can enjoy beautiful nature walks.

Very well furnished room with a big and comfortable bed, tasteful decor and spacious en-suite. High quality food in the restaurant. Cosy bar area. Friendly and efficient staff. Proper brownies, fresh milk and a decent coffee machine in the room rather than the cardboard cookies and instant coffee that many hotels give you.
