The room was fabulous, larger than I expected. The bath and shower were also great. Overall an amazing venue. The three course meal that we ate in the restaurant was one of the most delicious meals that I have ever eaten.

We were walking Hadrian's Wall and it was quite dark when we arrived. They were wonderful and friendly, and dropped us off at the pub. The next day we unfortunately left something behind and our host drove and met us so we could be reunited with our lost belongings. The accommodation is lovely, nice setting, large and well equipped. Food is provided so you can prepare breakfast for yourself in the morning, which suited us. Overall very nice place which we hope to re-visit in the future.

I was greeted by the manager who instantly knew my name and showed me to my cosy room. Facilities in the room were good. Coffee machine and kettle with gorgeous cups. Could do with more breakfast tea.tlThere is also a fan available for those who like to sleep a little cooler. I had the breakfasts over my stay, which were very nice. The meal at the wedding was lovely too.

Our suite was lovely and may I suggest romantic.

Our suite was lovely and may I suggest romantic. But beware unless you're passing through, there is very little to do there. Lovely and quiet, could hear the birdsong. The restaurant overlooks a putting green to one side and a lake full of wildlife and water lillies. Saw two herons, moor hens, and I think if you are a twitcher you'd be very happy. Take binoculars. Also forgot to mention, the coast isn't far and there is also a national park. Newcastle airport is easily reached and near.Ponteland has a few restaurants and pubs, The Blackbird has a very good restaurant, the bar food is OK too. The is also an Italian restaurant, Fratelli's. (Probably the wrong spelling), I have been there quite a few times and the food is excellent.

The accommodation was like a self contained apartment in the woods. It was superbly appointed with interesting additions. The breakfast was varied. The homemade food was reasonably priced and was of excellent quality.

Checked how to find the accommodation before hand and walked right in with no problems. Met by the owner who was lovely, very friendly and clearly very proud of what they had created. Accommodation was just beautiful, fantastic art work and general decor. Very comfortable and made for a great stay. The evening meal was delivered to the door, warm and very tasty. Extra goodies, lunch and general facilties were very well thought through. Fantastic value for money!! We will be back when ever we are in the area. Cant rate highly enough.

A good starting point for exploring Hadrian's Wall.

A good starting point for exploring Hadrian's Wall. If you – like us – take the ferry from Newcastle to Amsterdam in the afternoon, a visit to Tynemouth beforehand is worthwhile; it's a pretty seaside resort with a huge beach, nice cafes, and a castle on a rock.
