A historic town with many scenic walks, a good vibe and welcoming feel. Lots of places to eat and drink. We enjoyed our stay. The castle and gardens are free. There are a number of historic churches - St Leonard’s being very ancient Saxon/Norman. The town flat and full of rivers - with some pretty river walks. Excellent location and accommodation, friendly owner ensuring we were happy with the accommodation and WiFi and games room available. It's full of great restaurants and pubs/bars.
It's full of great restaurants and pubs/bars. There's an excellent theatre/cinema called Beam. It's situated on three rivers and on the old coaching route between London and Cambridge so the environment and architecture are beautiful and historic so well worth exploring. There's even a castle where Elizabeth I visited. Plus a great leisure centre and Hartham Park.
