The cabin is quite spacious on the inside and comfortable. The views are breathtaking and the hot tub is the cherry on the cake. The kitchen can be used to cook a quick breakfast. There was complimentary cider and cream tea too. The hosts were very helpful and responsive and did everything to make our stay comfortable and memorable.

We had a perfect stay from check in. We were welcomed by Nicky and shown to our lovely accommodation. The rooms in the lodge building were spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The bathroom was modern with a very powerful shower. Our evening meals and breakfast cooked by John were exceptional. The hotel is in a quiet location with countryside views and has plenty of free onsite parking.

The location was beautiful and peaceful. Loved the manor and all of the staff were especially attentive ,helpful and polite. The Spa was wonderful and we had heavenly spa treatments from Natalie and Rosie who were so friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious too.

The cottage is so lovely & homely, it's equipped with everything you could possibly need. The terrace is a sun trap in the afternoon & the donkeys popping their heads over the wall make it extra special. Andy & Sam are brilliant hosts & made us feel very welcome & we will definitely be returning

The house was very well stocked , very roomy , heating great and all facilities good including the beautiful heated pool which we used a lot . Excellent place for children with playgrounds, pool etc . Lovely pub around the corner with excellent food . You’ll need a car but the roads are easy once you find the main roads

    As a family we loved the feeling of 'getting away' from day-to-day life. Barn End Cottage is peaceful, rural and tranquil with amazing scenery. There are no 'local' large supermarkets, but supermarkets deliver. Transport is needed to travel to attractions. We visited Appledore, Westward Ho!, Air Extreme, Saunton Sands, Tiverton Grand Canal and RHS Rosemoor; all within a hour's drive. Great Tandoori in Chulmleigh (collection) and the Old George Inn does a fab Sunday roast. Very friendly staff and owner.

    The SatNav Postcode took us straight to the house.

    The SatNav Postcode took us straight to the house. It is on a single track lane with passing places in gateways but is very quiet so not much chance of meeting other vehicles. Our hostess was very helpful before our visit, recommending local places to eat. We enjoyed the Bell Inn at Chittlehampton. Once there, she also provided local info on shops, garages etc. The garden facilities were lovely - we just didn't have the time or weather to enjoy them.

    Lovely welcoming hosts and accommodation has lots of character, is spotless, very comfortable and tranquil with good facilities; I loved having a living room as well as my bedroom. I would thoroughly recommend both for the the accommodation itself and for the friendly, helpful owners.

    We were made very welcome on arrival by Kay, who had even made delicious lemon drizzle cake. The beautifully converted 16th Century barn has many exposed oak beams and unique period features. We had the Kingsize de Luxe room which was spotless, thoughtfully fitted out with attention to detail, and an extremely comfortable bed; having our own sitting room to relax in was a real bonus after a day walking in the surrounding countryside. The continental breakfast was exceptional and plentiful with lots of choice including fresh fruit pots and a variety of delicious croissants. The location is ideally situated for visiting towns and attractions in the area such as Great Torrington, Bideford, South Molton, Barnstaple and Rosemoor Gardens. High Bickington being within walking distance. Highly recommended. Many thanks to Kay and Dave for their friendliness and making our stay so enjoyable. Eddie and Julie

    Everything, the cabin, the hot tub, the location, the owners were nothing but friendly. Fire and hot tub lit on arrival, a good central location with some stunning parts of Devon 30 minutes away. Not to forget the home made brownies and cider on arrival!
