There isn't a huge amount to do in Holyhead itself.
There isn't a huge amount to do in Holyhead itself. A few nice walks around the coast. I don't have a car so next time I would stay closer inland in Anglesey to take advantage of more activities and places to see. I ended up taking a train to Bangor for a day. The surrounding area is stunning.
The surrounding area is stunning. Thousands of puffins at South Stack. But Holyhead itself has nothing to see. Amazing beaches and wild flowers and sand dunes a little further down the west coast road.Guest review byevelynUnited Kingdom

But the main attraction is the garden and the beautiful surroundings, located within walking distance of the cliffs, lighthouse, and Holyhead Mountain. The garden is amazing (of course when the weather is good). It is a great place to stay before going with the ferry to Dublin.
