The hotel is in a small village with a shop, a village hall and a very nice little pub that serves great ale. The hotel is not cheap but it delivers in a lot of ways. The food is lovely, both in the bar and the restaurant, the pool is very nice, the rooms and housekeeping are great but above all else it was the staff. They were polite and made time to chat and talk about the area and such. The location, close proximity to Haytor, and Dartmoor in general is a walkers dream.
