The hosts, Marjorie and Tom, were delightful. They took extra care to make sure we had everything we needed including the best whisky choice and setting up our early a.m. cab ride to the airport. We weren't sure that the hotel was in the best location (safety-wise) on our drive in, but it turned out to be a convenient and safe location. Marjorie was exceptionally attentive and made sure we were comfortable and happy during our stay. She had great suggestions for a place to pick up lunch and to visit the local abbey.

Johnstone or Paisley are perfect for train travellers wanting to explore Scotland. Direct Routes to the Ayr, Ardrossan, Largs which get you over to the islands on the west coast and Balloch for Loch Lomond. 15mins from Glasgow by train. Great Cycling routes to Lochwinnoch passing Kenmure Temple. Other places by car I'd really recommend a visit to: Culzean Castle, Hill House, Willow Tea Rooms Tour, Dumbarton Castle, Mugdock Park, Portencross Castle, Conic Hill, Ben A'an, Paisley Abbey, Glasgow Cathedral and the Necropolis. The River Inn at Crosslee has fabulous food.

This was a last minute stay after being let down by another hotel. The staff were very welcoming and extremely friendly - it was a very nice hotel and close enough to get to the airport early in the morning.

Reasonably priced. Near to station and taxi service was quick and fairly priced. Hotel was delightful, staff kind and helpful. The room was great , evening meal was very good quality food and a varied and very reasonably priced menu. Breakfast amazing. Would definitely recommend and use again.

My room was very nicely kitted out to a high standard, the bathroom too. The whole hotel has an excellent attention to detail. Good parking, excellent restaurant and really great staff. One to return to!
