The hotel was a complete surprise - lovely room with great views and our car right outside. Very snuggly bed, truly lovely staff, really nice food too. The only slight blip was the outdated bathroom however, it was still better than others we have stayed at (why do some venues only offer a tiny sink?). You just felt welcome from the minute you arrive and this continues throughout your stay. Food was good too. There was a leaflet showing walks from the hotel what a great idea, and the one I took down to the canal was very enjoyable. Fantastic hotel, great superior rooms with ground floor access, excellent facilities, staff were superb couldn't do enough for you, food in evening and breakfast was very well cooked and tasty. The hotel was ideal for me and the room was clean and tidy and only slight criticism was that it was a bit small for a double room but I was travelling alone anyway, so no issue. The bed was extremely comfortable and the facilities were absolutely fine. Staff were very helpful and polite. Had a drink in bar but I was eating out with colleagues but what I saw being served looked delicious and the prices on menu were very reasonable. Room was lovely decent bed - great couch - looking out over the hills. Nice and quiet through the night even though the hotel seemed really busy. I had to leave at 5.30am, but Gemma and her team were fantastically helpful with early checkout and pre-breakfast pack for me in my room before I left.
