The house is located in a stunning part of the world. Endless amounts of coastline to visit, it is in a very quiet town, however we did visit the local pub and was made very welcome by the locals. We went as 2 familes and was very spacious for us all and lots of room for the kids to play and the playground on the doorstep is ideal for families. We had a great time, and already have spoken about when we can return. Would highly recommend this hidden gem

My accommodation at Dunleath House was excellent. The host was very welcoming and friendly, and my room had excellent facilities including a lovely bathroom (with shower and bath) and a lovely kitchenette (with a microwave, kettle, gas hob, fridge and tea/coffee). My room was very clean and tidy, and I appreciated that I had access to an extension lead and hairdryer within the room also. It totally suited my needs for my short stay, and I would recommend any person needing accommodation in this location to stay at Dunleath House 😊

We stayed at this place for two nights and had an amazing experience. The cottage was in excellent condition, very well-maintained. Both bedrooms were spacious and had their own private bathrooms. The house was equipped with radiators throughout, making it very comfortable. The living room and the kitchen-dining area were particularly cozy and inviting. The kitchen had everything we needed, including a dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, washing machine, and more. The parking area was spacious, which was very convenient. Additionally, there were outdoor play areas with toys for children, making it a great place for families. We truly enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to return. Highly recommended!

    Quiet fishing village with a shop, restaurant/takeaway and 3 pubs. Few nice local walks - down the coast to St John's Point and the rope walk down around the harbour in the village. Some great beaches aswell Plenty of interesting places to visit around the area from Newcastle up to Downpatrick and back around the coast.

    A great base for getting to anywhere south of Belfast. Killough itself is small but a lovely pub within walking distance and such a lovely place to stay - very quiet. We didn't spend enough time there really to give a full review of the village.

    Lovely little historic village in a stunning location on the coast. The village itself is very quiet and there aren't really any restaurant or takeaway facilities, so bear this in mind. But there is a Costcutter where you can buy supplies if you are self catering and Ardglass and Downpatrick are both nearby where you can buy anything else you may need. Tyrella and Murlough beaches are both very nearby and are both excellent and Blue Flag rated. We also spent a very nice evening in the Anne Boal Inn which we would definitely recommend. Friendly welcoming owner and locals and a roaring fire! Just what you need after a day on the beach.
