We were in Kilsyth for just one night on our way further...
We were in Kilsyth for just one night on our way further north, so we didn’t spend long in the town. We stayed at The Coachman Hotel which was great, and went to buy a paper from a newsagent in the high street in the morning - just two minutes walk from the hotel. Kilsyth is a town full of history from the mines to the weaving. It should really have a museum in the main street. Colzium is a beautiful park with flowers and walks. The receptionist went out of her way to explain all aspects of my stay and also showed me to my room. The room was exactly as described with a lovely view of the canal outside. It was a busy hotel but really quiet, which made for a perfect night's sleep. I ate in the restaurant twice and the food was top quality.
