We spent 4 days in The Barn at Courtleigh and it was great. The house is spacious, well designed, comfortable and very clean. It is fully equipped with everything you might need. The Barn at Courtleigh is situated in a beautiful remote location. It is 30-40 min away from the Hallsands Beach and is a great starting point for various hikes. Highly recommended!

Facilities were soo good. Spotlessly clean. 2 minute walk to the beach. Lovely little sweet box left on arrival. Bed lining was crisp and white.

    Lovely friendly town.

    Lovely friendly town. Interesting trail can be taken through town. Tourist Centre helpful. Good range of shops. Very good Tesco. Boat trips from the quayside and small railway rides for children. Good library and museum. Markets and market hall worth visiting. Friendly coffee shops. Cinema showing current films. Crabshell Inn good. Good bus service. A good centre to visit all the interesting places round the coast.

    Kingsbridge is a quiet country town, with enough resturants...

    Kingsbridge is a quiet country town, with enough resturants to keep a hungry visitor satisfied. A few shops worth popping in, but we found surrounding towns better for views and shops (Dartmouth before Salcombe).

    We didn’t go into the town much as we spent most of our stay...

    We didn’t go into the town much as we spent most of our stay walking the South West Coast Path. On the one evening we did walk down into the town (takes 10 mins down but 15 back as it’s uphill!) we saw plenty of lovely independent shops. The town has good transport links with both bus and boat.

    Kingsbridge is a lovely town.

    Kingsbridge is a lovely town. Parking is easy, the people are really friendly, the shops are sweet, and when we were visiting, there was an affordable art fair which was filled with wonderful art. It's a great place to stay and we definitely wanted our holiday to be longer. There are also some very tasty places to eat, including Mangetout and The Crabshell.

    Have visited and stayed in Kingsbridge many times. The town is a pleasant size and has plenty of facilities - restaurants, cafes, pubs, shops etc. The main street - Fore Street - is a steep hill so not ideal if you have restricted mobility. For eating, try The Old Bakery (small tapas plates), La Ranchera (Mexican), Cafe Asia, Maha-Bharat (Indian), The Crabshell, Seen Stars, Creek Inn. On-street parking is time-limited (1 or 2 hours but free). Otherwise, there is a car park down on the quay.

    Being elderly, we are not great walkers & so we relied upon...

    Being elderly, we are not great walkers & so we relied upon our car to get around. The very narrow roads are quite a shock to those of us who are not familiar with them! You have to be prepared to back up for quite long distances when you meet oncoming traffic (unless they are kind enough to do so for you). It is also quite hilly & some roads are steep. However, we managed & are here to tell the tale!

    I clean comfortable and fully equipped flat in the centre of Kingsbridge with own car parking. Fantastic views across the field as the flat is on the top floor. We arrived on a very very cold day and whilst the flat was warm, it wasn’t as hot as we would’ve liked it. A quick call to the owner resulted in immediate help and we were soon nice and toasty. We will definitely be renting the flat again when we head down to Family in Devon.

    A super surprise having been trapped in Devon by train strikes! Andrew was great and made sure we had everything we needed. The yurt was a fantastic space, really comfy beds and the sounds of owls, crickets and nature so close was incredible. Our girls also loved picking the apples and blackberries that grew outside. Thank you! Also very much recommend the cooked breakfasts at the Ring 'O' Bells just down the road.

    Everything about this apartment and location was amazing. Peaceful location with stunning views. Kerry & Jon The hosts were very welcoming. It's lovely and immaculately clean apartment, we're decorated in tastefully relaxing colours. The bed was so comfortable. It's a great place to stay to for a base to visit lots of places in beautiful Devon. Would highly recommend and will most definitely be going back.
