The hotel location is very good. The rooms were very nice and big. The beds were very comfortable. The breakfast at the hotel was very good - we had a hearty full breakfast with bacons, sausages, eggs. The eggs benedict was very tasty as well. We didnt have dinner at the hotel.

Absolutely perfect oasis to stay when visiting Isle of Skye, you have all the benefits of the area without the hustle and bustle with the cottage located in an oasis of its own. The ferry from Glenelg across to Isle of Skye was a majory highlight for out day visit, and we loved our dinner at the local Glenelg Pub. Only downside if wish we had more time to relax and unwind in the surrounding Glenelg area; the views and roads were so quiet and stunning, perfect for running and cyling alike!

I found Kyle of Lochalsh really friendly.

I found Kyle of Lochalsh really friendly. The hotel I stayed in was amazing and the staff ultra helpful. The cafe I had baked potato, chicken mayo and cheese in was really nice and friendly, the food amazing. The gift shop beginning with O was lovely and I bought a couple of necessities for the rest of my holiday (scarf and beanie). The Islanders pub in the evening was really fun atmosphere and a good mix of locals and tourists.

The lodge is set in an absolutely amazing spot, with stunning surroundings that make it a truly memorable location. However, we did feel that the price was quite high compared to the overall services offered. The dinner and breakfast areas lacked atmosphere and coziness, while the food itself was fine. Our room had a mattress with one side noticeably deeper from frequent seating, which made sleeping uncomfortable (especially since it was our only chance to rest for one night during our road trip). On the positive side, the personnel and the manager were all very kind and welcoming. That said, there seemed to be too few staff members at times to maintain the level of service one might expect at this price point. Overall, a beautiful place with great potential, but a few improvements could make it truly exceptional.

We did a glass bottom tour of the area which traversed around the Loch which was a great experience..we used the hotel in this area to access Isle of Skye as the accommodation in and around was either not available for mutli night stays or well over priced for the facilities. The bridge and the Loch was a great experience on our journey around Scotland

Good location to base yourself for visiting Skye, Plockton, Sandaig, Applecross etc. A variety of places to eat to suit all budgets including a decent sized Co-op. Good roads with plenty of signed passing paces on the single track lanes. The 2 hour boat trip with Seaprobe Atlantis was a fun experience and having easy access to all other areas - Skye, Kylerhea ferry, Sandaig, Plockton - made it perfect for me.

It was a pilgrimage for me,my dad was posted there during the Second World War on MineLaying duties I wasn’t disappointed as the community have made sure they are all remembered, with a couple of memorials. It is a beautiful part of the country, with stunning scenery abound, walking ,touring, boat trips, coffee haunts..history..or just watching boats ply the water. A train trip would be an absolute highlight on the Kyle line, your nose would be pressed against the window the whole way. If you like driving or motorcycles…..your in for a treat…..

I was intending to sleep in my car on Skye, but it started snowing and I just didn't fancy it anymore so booked a last minute hotel. I was happy to find such a good deal fairly nearby in Kyle. I booked it at 20:30. They were very welcoming and accomodating at such late notice. Room was cozy and clean, nice ensuite bathroom with hot water. Comfy bed, thick blinds to block the light out. Various snacks and tea, milk + kettle were all provided.

The spacious living and kitchen area is well equipped with everything you would want for a self catering cabin, with the added bonus of a great outdoor seating area (midges permitting!). Plus the bed was incredibly comfortable. Situated in a quiet street, the town centre is not very far away, and it's a great place to base yourself for a day or two on Skye. The host was super helpful, even leaving some essentials in the fridge.

It’s a bit strange arriving after 4pm as you check-in in the bar which meant we missed the lovely check-in area and lounge room. This is a little treasure of a hotel that undersells itself. We ate in the pub/ restaurant which was also excellent. The room was lovely and fitted the ‘fishing lodge’ atmosphere. We had the feeling that they were in the process of upgrading lots of areas.

The receptionist was very kind and found us a good solution for adding another adult to the room. The view from the hotel is very beautiful, and the location is convenient, near the bridge to Skye and close to a supermarket.
