Georgina is a beautiful property situated in the well served historic village of Lavenham. It is spotlessly clean and beautifully appointed - all the thoughtful little extras (much appreciated when I realised I had forgotten the toothpaste) put this home on par with a 5 star boutique hotel. I wouldn't hesitate to book again or recommend for family and friends.

    The local shops and tea rooms were lovely and all within...

    The local shops and tea rooms were lovely and all within walking distance of the hotel, perfect location for us. The Greyhound served tapas which was very nice, we didn't go out in the garden but I think there is a seating area outside. The Swan is lovely, you can go to for a drink or a meal, there is a lovely garden too. There are several small independent shops with interesting and varied products. The Curiosity Corner shop is worth a visit and the Antique shop is quite big with lots of interesting items, again worth a visit. We found most of the shops interesting. The Market Square is very quaint and lovely to just sit and be with a cuppa!

    Very friendly and helpful shop keepers. Very interesting village. I have been visiting for a number years. I came this time specifically for 500th anniversary of the completion of the church tower and because I am a member of the Spring family.

    Appreciate weather was exceptionally hot but staff not that...

    Appreciate weather was exceptionally hot but staff not that attentive and difficult to find around the hotel. Lots of stairs to rooms so any mobility issues are not easy No offer of help with luggage The charge for dogs excessive Food was good but couldn’t eat on second night due to issue with kitchen , shame because we intended to eat each night. One staff member very rude at breakfast and refused to serve us because of the dogs. We checked out one day early and still charged for dogs for that third day. Could have at least not charged that amount as gesture of goodwill. In light of experience we have cancelled our stay in December.

    Our accommodation was a main road, but a fairly quiet one, with free unrestricted parking. We managed to park outside the property each night. Suffolk is a beautiful county with very nice countryside and interesting villages. The cathedral at Bury St Edmonds was worth a visit.

    For us it was a trip into English history.

    For us it was a trip into English history. The town is kept incredibly well in its original medieval form and it has charming relaxing and warm atmosphere. They're lovely little shop where you can find some unique items, and the little cafés are lovely. Christmas and New year is particularly good time for visiting as all beautiful decorations and lights are on display.

    Lavenham is one of the most delightful and beautifully...

    Lavenham is one of the most delightful and beautifully preserved towns in Suffolk. Quintessentially English and with fabulous local craft shops and Tea shops. The hospitality of the shop keepers was excellent. The guided tours and visit to St Peter's and St.Paul's Church was very interesting. Long Melford is just 4 miles away and there you can visit Melford Hall and Kentwell Hall. Lavenham is a place I will return to.

    Louise has thought of everything. From high quality bed linen and towels to ensuring that there was milk in the fridge. Not all holiday rentals show such consideration. It was inviting, clean and very cute with all the little toy mice that we found around the cottage. There was nothing we wanted for. There was excellent guidance as to what we could do in Lavenham. Really the most beautiful quaint cottage perfectly positioned. Very high spec which made it feel such a wonderful weekend away.

    The stay in this wonderful old hotel made for a very memorable wedding anniversary and my husbands birthday . The Michelin style food at great prices was the best we had in the village even thoiugh other places boasted better . The staff were very good even if as local youngsters they need to master french wine names !

    The hotel was very well located for travelling around the local area. Lavenham is a beautiful small historic town. The hotel has two restaurants which were well appointed. We enjoyed excellent breakfasts with plenty of choice. All the staff we met were very friendly and helpful at all times.
