From the moment we arrived we felt so welcome. The proprietors were very personable and just so easy to chat with. Food was top notch, classic English fare and absolutely delicious, we had dinner there three evenings. Completly cosy and just easy to be there.

The owner was very kind. The room was very spacious, tastefully furnished. The shower room was also very spacious and comfortable. The shower itself was a bit smaller than usual. The breakfast room was also tastefully furnished (for fans of the genre - there were many beautiful antique and vintage objects in the house). Breakfast was excellent.

We were given a lovely welcome by Linda and her family, they really encourage you to see the working farm. Our little boy loved seeing the cows being milked and petting the calves. And the chickens walking around! The play area and pond were lovely additions meaning there's plenty to do on site. The room was clean and had everything we needed to cook meals and be comfortable. We'll definitely be back again. We stayed at the haven. We will definitely be trying the breakfast next time and maybe a different cottage as we stayed in the apartment with a little one so all in one room, so will try having him in his own room so we can have an evening. The pics on booking.com don't do it justice, the kitchen was fantastic. Really spacious with so many appliances even a bread maker.

This is an ultimate getaway from it all, so secluded and peaceful. A beautiful location. The cabin is well equipped, and I wanted for nothing. Loved everything about it, to the extent I've already booked to go back in a few weeks' time! Krystyna was a brilliant host, very welcoming, with a cream tea being a lovely unexpected bonus. AND how could I forget the fish food for the carp in the lake!!

A relaxing country setting with friendly and helpful staff.

A relaxing country setting with friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was outstanding and the perfect way to start the day. My room facing the front of the hotel was quite noisy, with traffic passing early in the morning, which was surprising considering the rural location. Take ear plugs with you and you’ll be fine. Dog poo on the lawn in the garden was a definite low point especially as I had my young granddaughter with me. Dog owners please take note and clean up after your pet.

We really enjoyed staying at Lifton Hall. The four rooms are all tastefully decorated and have good quality bedding and furnishings. There was an excellent choice of food at breakfast and we thoroughly enjoyed the evening meal that was especially cooked for us. It was reasonably priced too. The hosts were very friendly.

We have stayed here before and as my family live in Lifton it is a very convenient base for us to use. The river side location is very quiet and picturesque, we often stay out of season so have not really used the outside very much but in summer it is a lovely place to sit.

We absolutely loved our stay in Lifton. The property is delightful and the hosts are very friendly and welcoming. The hot tub was fantastic. Th location is quite remote, but a brilliant base for exploring Devon and North Cornwall.
