Llangollen is a lovely little town, The canal trip over the aqueduct is lovely and we had a pleasant cream tea on board while watching the world go by. If you book far enough in advance you can also go on a horse drawn canal trip. The steam train excursions are lovely and there are lots of quirky little shops and good places to eat throughout the town. Portmeirion isn't too far away and is a lovely day out. You can do loads of water sporting activities if you're that way inclined, it's very popular. Bala Lake is not too far away as well, all in all you can be as active or sedate as you please. Beautiful location. Stunning views in all directions. Easy to walk into town and stroll along the River Dee. And a few minutes drive away you have endless hiking options up on the hills. Plenty to do in this lovely Welsh town.
Plenty to do in this lovely Welsh town. A trip over the aqueduct, a horse drawn canal trip. Try the Dee Side cafe for amazing meals and excellent coffee. They are especially good with dietary changes too. Nothing was too much trouble.Guest review bySueAustralia - 10.0

Plenty of tourist attractions, including canal trips and heritage railway. Good easy walking, including along canal towpath in both directions. Interesting local shops, cafes, and restaurants. The place was easy to find.
The place was easy to find. The gravel road leading up to the accommodation is fine, despite what other travellers say. If your car has got a second gear, you’ll be fine. Upon arrival at the yurt, I was surprised how much personal space you have and it is cleverly secluded. The whole aspect of the garden surrounding the yurt sends to be surf facing, so there’s plenty of sunshine in a nice day. I could write a book on the good points about this place but to cut a long story short, I’ve been glamping for many years this is one of the best places that I have stayed at.Guest review byShaunUnited Kingdom

I took her advice for two restaurants nearby for evening meals and they were both good recommendations. There was an plentiful supply of tea, coffee, hot chocolate etc. in the room or available if extras were needed - unlike to miserly couple of teabags other hotels tend to supply. The location was perfectly located for my intention to walk in the Berwyn mountains. It was also very easy to find. The room itself was excellent and very clean and smart. breakfast was outstanding with a good selection for all tastes and accomodated a range of dietry requirements. The location of the hotel is great with access to the whole of LLangollen on the doorstep.
