A beautiful guest house in Masham, within walking distance of everything in the village! Owners (and their gorgeous dogs) were welcoming and friendly. Jude provided us with a delicious breakfast each morning, along with suggestion of places to go. Within walking distance of both the breweries in Masham. 🥰

We stayed at Morton House for one night as part of a cycling trip. It was absolutely perfect for what we needed - really comfortable, central location, spacious…. There’s even a piano 🤣. We had a couple of last minute changes to our group numbers and Michelle (the owner) was really understanding and very helpful

    I have been a frequent visitor to Masham for 35 years, which must reflect my love for the place. A very friendly, quiet, relaxing town, with might not suit everyone's taste but it does have four pubs, and is an ideal base for touring the Dales and other parts of Yorkshire

    Pretty market square, some nice, small shops (the pork pies from Rogers & Son the butcher are excellent) and if you want some really nice chocolates go to Joneva in the market place/ Of course the Black Sheep Brewery is worth a visit, take a tour and sample their wares, their bistro does very good fish & chips too.

    We discovered by talking to other people that all other pubs and restaurants in the area were closed by 6 pm and the King's Head were refusing custom because of understaffed even though the restaurant wasn't full.

    Great village, cafes, pubs, Michelin starred restaurant, 2 breweries, lovely river, picturesque, a variety of great walks, lovely atmosphere and great accommodations. Park your car and enjoy yourself. And book early!

    Apart from one shop more for my spouse than for me, which was good in itself but flouted its wokery (my wife didn't see its rainbow shame), it was an interesting and enjoyable small town, and a nice place to weather the Christmas storm. It has some nice perimeter walks, and a 'Druid' temple within easy driving distance: the latter had us fooled but was built in Jane Austen days and was well worth the visit in spite of some sciatic type pain giving me some jip. We were impressed by Uredale Glass (tucked away in a side street from the Kings Head), with the Kings Head (Christmas Eve meal and in the Tesco points scheme), and with many more of the little shops (except one which shall remain nameless).

    Our 2nd time and most definitely not our last. It’s a beautiful cottage with all you need for your stay. It’s perfect for relaxing, walking, pubs, shops. The bedrooms are all lovely and the beds comfy. It’s clean, warm and has enough space for everyone to be comfortable. The hosts are great and very responsive. They also send you lots of info on what’s available locally and a little further afield but we just park up the car and chill in Masham as it’s lovely as are the people. You will not be disappointed if you book this place!

    Warm and very clean on arrival. Complimentary tea,coffee & milk in the fridge (and a Black Sheep beer which was a lovely touch). Plenty of lovely local walks on the doorstep and near to a Co-op for essentials. Enjoyed an evening meal at The Bay Horse-great food & service. Very helpful host with good communication. We left something behind which Andrew very kindly posted onto us. Look forward to returning & would definitely recommend!

    Lovely flow out to the garden. Great location in the centre of Masham. Fabulous butchers across the road. All pubs and breweries easy walking distance. We were worried about parking, but got to park 2 cars on the road or in long stay, which is a couple of minutes walk down some stairs.
