Our pod was so cute, warm & welcoming for our w.e break! It had everything we needed & the beds & bedding were so snug! We also had our own immaculate bathroom a short stroll away. The site and utilities are very well organised. Tim, the owner was very friendly and hospitable. Lynda, the campsite manager was equally lovely. We had a lovely one night stay here. Linda and her wonderful family that included very friendly cats, dogs and horses, were fantastic hosts. The room was large and comfortable, and the views from our room were amazing. There are some good pubs nearby, within walking distance, but take a torch if you intend to return in the dark as it is pitch black in the countryside .

I went to school at mayfield College about a mile away from the village for 6 years in te early 1960's. I don't think the village has changed much in that time except there is no railway line thanks to Dr. Beeching.

We stayed in Mayfield for one night and used it as base to...

We stayed in Mayfield for one night and used it as base to visit the area. The food is good quality and not excessively priced. There was great musical entertainment in the bar that night too. It is an old Inn so expect the quirks that go with that.
